If driver found a large amount of money or item that do not belong to the driver himself, you need to surrender those item to taxi companies lost and found or any police station .
Failure to do so , you will get this :
5 Demerit Points + Fine : $200
Retaining possession of passenger’s property left behind in taxi for more than 24 hours but less than 7 days
21 Demerit Points + Fine : $500 ( Vocational Licence will be revoked )
Retaining possession of passenger’s property left behind in taxi for 7 days or more
If found , pls return to owner , it's the best move , cos got tippings later if owner good .
If sent back to taxi company , then u can say goodbye to good tipping .
Remember must die die return , get caught not returned ? Siao liao ....
I remember a few years ago , a SMRT driver was caught not returning parcel of cash to owner .
How he got caught ?
I dunno .... must be the MDT , apparently , the GPS's system can locate which taxi number this passenger got on board , and also the end destination , if Police insist on investigation , SMRT cooperated and this driver was caught !
The Police further check onto the suspect's bank account , and spotted a certain large amount of money was being deposited .
And they also went to the driver's house to check on his property , i guessed with a warrant .
After interrogation , driver admitted he was the one that took the money .
Remember , it lies with the Police , if victim report to the Police , it's the Police who want to get you or not ?

I had doubts initially , still i think it is possible .

Electronically, ALL datas e.g speed, earnings, mileage, timing, break, on d rd, etc etc...... THAT COME WITH d TAXI, installed by d taxi coy, will be recorded.
Juz like ur home computer, everything can be detected or traced. Even u deleted from ur harddisk, all can b re-traced.
ONLY 1 THING i know is MDT IS SUPID enuff 2 check/detect or record is ........ THE # OF TIME U FARTED IN D TAXI ....... hehehehe

At 120km, they only said Drive carefully, did not said Slow down.
Wa, motherboard somemore. no lah bro, GPS can track your speed, if you move fast, GPS will record it and warn you. They also need to know where you are so as to get you on call to the nearest destination.
I agree most companies will have a data of your earning, even working in companies also the HR got all your datas, but salary are confidential and private, beside the need for inland revenue, any leaks to colleague or public is consider an offence, you can go MOM and sue them.

the mdt can track where and when u pick and drop pax. they call me to chk back seat if there is any hp. in the end i found one hp. this pax also heng, after her i pick another 2pax, then this 2pax didnt even see the hp. pick up all this thing pui chao nua one, troublesome.

2. on meter from wherever u are go to their location.
then abt the speeding, the meter can print out the time and the speed that you are travelling. i printed it out once before by accident. i wonder wat triggers it, at that point of time i think to myself,' siao liao, dunno which pax complain, den comfort print the thing'
When you on the meter, comfort of course kow lah, that is why they never put you on call, when customer drop, you press again, comfort of course know lah, cos they can put you on call liao. You go iinside underground car park see if they can get you or not? even net also cannot process. This are all track by GPS computer, like somone said, if nothing wrong, nodboy gives a damn what or where you are, you cannot employ 15000 peoples to look after15000 taxis on the road. So, it is either the police or someone complained, then you are on the radar, and remember they ask you if you pick up the h/p , they dun even know there is a hp drop inside your taxi.
Be creatvie, either put a sign, "Stop! Have you left anything behind" or make a habit to remind paxs if they left anything behind,

i also heard if customer booked a Comfort cab , thru Iphone apps .
If they pressed something , that confirmed taxi will be in their map !!
They will see from map that taxi's location .
And whether the taxi had run away ( NO SHOW ) .
Or confirmed taxi are at the wrong place .

Regarding Speed , i believe it's not GPS . It was the MDT & Taximeter linked with Speedometer .
That is why when pax complaint one driver speeding , Comfort will recall driver back to download datas from taximeter .
Never heard before that Merc Cabby kena complaint by pax and got guntong for reckless driving along ECP ?
Taximeter has got your " Times of Speeding" datas .
If your do K1+K2 , for STATS .
Think Mode 4 is "Times of Speeding" , u can read it from the end report .
