But when you're the one holding the revolver and squeezing the trigger, you can feel the hammer being pulled back, and lock in the cocked position, ready for release. The mid point can be felt. This it self is a safety feature, because the shooter has that much micro second to change his mind about shooting. This has been smoothen to the long pull.
You have to have fired the older revolvers and the present ones to know the difference.
The older revolvers would have the hammer rest on an empty chamber, the present ones have a groove betwen chambers. But still don't throw a loaded gun on to the floor like they do in the movies.
As for the aux officer sitting behind the taxi driver, if he just sits still, its safe, if he fidgets and touches the revolver and pushes the revolver to deeper into his trousers, he is taking that 0.0001percent chance of the revolver going off into the back of the taxi driver.
u havent fired or seen or learnt much bout guns have u from looks of it.its lucky singapore has tough gun laws or many people would have been killed by yer sparse knowledge of guns.many well trained folks can even identify the type of working operations of hundreds of different type revolver models without even touching it...but u need to touch it n pull it in order to identify it.which is weak knowledge....some of yer facts are downright misinformation n inaxccurate from world wide gun owners!do u own any guns at all even???
try rephrasing everything u sound liken an amateur.i dont care if theres a groove in the nuts even....u need to handle yer weapons safely and know more about them in order to even discuss about them.
people are killed by your stupid and ignorant info.just make sure no one gives u a firearm.....guns are only meant for responsible people.
mancha....dont read internet garbage when it concerns human lives.their lives r not for unprofessional amateurs to play with.best u dun comment on guns here if u knnow very little of it.a little knowledge is very dangerous especially if u were not trained or schooled in them at all.
Hitman, you missed your morning medication again.
