One forum mate here , just got a $300 fine for not picking up commuter after alighting one .
Fine $300 from LTA and 6 demerit TVDL points .
The Story :
On a busy Friday night , around 10.06pm , he picked up a passenger to Scotts ParkRoyal ...... as usual long human Q waiting at taxi stand .
This particular kaki of mine , alight passenger and zoomed off with TAXI sign .
Next day , some idiot people from the taxi stand lodge a complaint against him for not picking up the paxes at that taxi stand .
Was called in to Sin Ming Drive LTA's office drink kopi .
IO very nice , told him : " If u put BUSY , don't pick , i cannot do anything ."
"But if u put TAXI and don't pick , we got problem ."
"We also know you want to get $3 across the street at Orchard Road ."
All kind of stories .
"So u wait for our letter ."
My kaki thought case closed , warning can liao .
2 weeks later , knn received a Registered Article , from LTA .
Open up , knn fined $300 for infringing the regulation .
Phui .
The morale of the story ?
if you not interested to pick any customers outside CBD , put BUSY and LTA cannot do anything one .
U busy mah .
Go urine , go eat rice , go shit , go regular pick up etc ... BUSY !
If you TAXI , and not picking any , u are inviting LTA for coffee .

Outside CBD , after 8pm , passengers are like angry tiger , do you know ?
My survey , 99% of cabbies not interested to pick them up . The one and only also lan lan one .
LTA has got so much complaint , until they fed-up , so fed-up , some of you will end up like guinea pigs to them .
Outside CBD , always stay at centre lane if u do not intend to put BUSY , cos u want call , cos BUSY calls cannot come in .
When LTA asked you , you answer : " Oh ! Busy stretch , dangerous to filter in ."
Cars very fast , pass liao then see them , too bad .
When at Taxi Stand ....
If u intend to alight current pax ... park a bit futher from Q !!
I usually park BEFORE the Q !
Why ?
Cos i have intentions to show them my BUSY or ON CALL !!!
I feared if i stop after the Q , they cannot see my sign and hop in .
Mind you , they are hunger for taxis , when they hop in , it's very difficult to get them out .
Then problem again .
Please do some home work yourself on where those people start to hunt for taxis .
Let me tell you this ....
Those people who complaint , are usually what we called cheapos .
Don't want to call , don't want to pay CBD , don't want to Q ....
This is those dangerous people .
So dangerous , if u pick them up ... will hear them nag nag nag until they reached home .
So play the game right .

One trick ....
Change Shift !
Step One :
Before the current pax on board , Roof Top put Change Shift to Whatever before you press meter on .
Upon reaching the next taxi stand to alight , this trick must park before the taxi stand , u press and hold K2 on your meter .
Before you stopped meter .
Why ?
Then your roof top will change to CHANGE SHIFT WHATEVER ( In RED ) with your pax still on baord your taxi .
Hired > Change Shift
Then pax light , u can : " Yah , change shift Jurong East , you go where ? "
"Hougang ?"
"Sorry call ALN ."
"Bye "

Esp from 8pm to 11pm ....
After 11pm , then they got chance .
Cos inside CBD , we done the jobs liao .
Now outside .
That's why i said LTA damn gundu .... must solve the bigger picture mah ... just solve isolated case ?
