Thank you 'uaskforit' for the tip. I applied for the POSB everyday credit card straight away after reading and confirming with SPC and POSB about the TD diesel discount. This is the best deal I ever heard. Only $0.0345 more per liter compared to SMRT diesel and the convenience of topping up at many locations without queuing.
I already got cabbie 21 and the esso TD discount card, but both cannot beat this combination.
Full tank (up to the neck) can go 750km before almost dry. Mileage based on last receipt was 9.76km per litre.
Mileage based on another receipt was 10.17km per litre.

Comfort diesel = SPC diesel. Used to pump at Ubi and have seen SPC tanker do refilling in the morning many times. Now SPC sold to PRC company, don't know which company's diesel they are selling.

If u did the occasional car jockey jobs and got lucky enough to drive a porsche 911, all the usual road cars start feeling underpowered, suspension too soft, cabin too noisy, exhaust sound not shiok enough.
For me the main consideration as a cabby is to get cheap diesel, not speed or power. I dont find the sonata or chrysler fast anyway. The pick up is very normal very average, nothing to be proud of. It is not a sports car.
My biggest concern having driven an old and a brand new chrysler before, is that the ABS was not maintained to factory spec. I do the occasional emergency brake on an empty road to test the brakes to gauge how much space I need to maintain in front of me to prevent a collision.
Sad to say the old chrysler and the old sonata both fail. The ABS does not work the way it worked on a new car. I suspect the wheel speed sensor or some other component is no longer working at factory spec anymore. Even on dry roads, the wheels locked up. The sonata was the more scary one. The ABS sometimes prevent a wheel lockup during e-brake, sometimes it does not. I really cannot trust it at all. Just treat the brakes like a toyota crown to be safe.
