Singapore Taxi Fare too expensive?

I'm new here. No TDVL yet, taking next month i hope... I hear so many complain about Taxi Fare price hike... If you guys ever encounter passenger complain maybe this would help:
Let's compare:
Melbourne Australia, Francis St to Belmore Rd 25km+, AUD$57.56 abt SG$75
Paris, charles de gaulle to disneyland hotel 36km+, Euro43.85 abt SG$74
New York, Newark Airport to Manhattan 30km, USD$73.13 abt SG$95
Singapore, Jurong West to Tampines 31km+, about SG$25
India, Gurgaon to New Delhi Railway Station 32km+, Rs291.38 abt SG$7+
Yes, Singapore taxi fare very expensive if compared to India -
So please go India to enjoy your Taxi.
No wonder people from there give us the most problem, now i understand their pain.

But no worry la, when U see the Angmo stand middle of e road to block taxi, tis is only the peanut increased. Why u never put the charge for Sin COE ? Buy car or take Cab, No obligation.

I think people like the TS is either stupid or really retarded or just trying to twist the data to deceive people. Personally, I will give him the benefit of the doubt to think he's not stupid or retarded, just trying to deceive people.
To just put a data out like that is not fair because for example, in those countries, you can buy a car for $20k. In Singapore, $20k can't even get you the CHEAPEST car. Why didn't TS point that out? Is he retard or stupid, this I don't know.
Also, he miss out alot of important data points, such as in New York, the Programmer salary annually is USD$93,000. In Singapore, that's totally reduced to SGD$30000. Please also note that 93k is in USD, not SGD mentioned for the $30k. For Christ sake, if we are making close to $100k, we won't complain about Singapore taxi fare lah, use your bloody brain!!!
What TS is trying to do is manipulate a set of data to suit his argument with huge bias, either through his stupidity or his retarded or he's just out to cheat people.
I also can do it easily... My friend's grandfather lives till 105 years old, he's a smoker. Steve Jobs died of cancer at age 50+ and he's a non-smoker. So from this data, we can say if you smoke, you can live to a long age. If you don't smoke, even if you are damn rich, you will die of cancer before 60. LOL!!!

Singapore taxi is not cheap lah. But as a cabby, money is also not easy to earn. Like that can or not? Can you imagine, airport departure from Western Singapore in a normal blue yellow cab for the price of a plate of chilli crab? Some cabbies have to sweat it out for a full shift to net this amount. How can we say it is cheap? But if the cabby cannot collect this fare, who will want to drive the fucking cab?

Since when he is deceiving people? He is stating the fact. He did not blown up the figures. So what's wrong? Ya so what they are earning a lot in the US. They are paying a lot of tax ok. I fun see he manipulate any data. Just comparing. -

must compare apple to apple U go and compare taxis from china, India, vietnam, usa, europe, indonesia, taiwan, malaysia uncle is a frequent traveller and is still travelling very frequently now I dare say singapore taxi most comfortable (minus the crown) and clean TD here mostly will not bring you in circles unlike TDs in other countries If you still think Sg Taxis is ex....... take mrt, bus....many options but prepareed to walk a bit lah Here we send you right to your door step Jia Hong Chu .... we send you there and sometimes must reverse all the way back the small winding road. knn phui still complain

ok, sorry my fault I should not call people stupid... but I am abit agitated when people provide flawed information.if you notice, TS stated we complained about the cab fare price hike, so he provided these information to us... quite obvious those information are to support a certain perception... but it's totally flawed.

Singaporeans find the fare expensive due to the fact they are not paid well. If they are paid well perhaps they will take it that it is reasonable.
