Owners of cars which run on compressed natural gas (CNG) will soon have to pay more for their fuel. They will also have to comply with the three-quarter-tank rule when travelling into Malaysia.
A 20 cents per kg excise duty on CNG will be levied at all gas pumps from Jan 1, a move announced in Budget 2009.
CNG car owners will still pay less duty than petrol-vehicle owners, who pay 41 cents per kg in duty for most grades of petrol.
The three-quarter-tank rule, which currently applies only to petrol vehicles registered in Singapore, will also apply to CNG cars from Jan 1, said Singapore Customs yesterday.
Owners of CNG vehicles have been informed of these changes by mail.
The Government implemented the three-quarter-tank rule in 1991 to discourage motorists from topping up in Johor, where petrol is cheaper.
Once CNG becomes a dutiable item, a licence from Singapore Customs will be required for the manufacture of CNG.
The manufacturers will have to account for the quantity of CNG produced, dispensed and sold, and will be subjected to periodic audits.

Recently,saw many wish parked at braddell cdg attending sonata hirer courses. this has been going on for a few months. i think many have thown keys

i said before , i will let others deal with it . My harvest will be paid off .Now referal $1000 the solution ? No lar fuck . . . will made more hirers even more pissed off only . And pissed liao throw more keys . The best solution ? Still pay more money to current hirer like me . An amount i cannot throw key . Must think thrice type .

cng cost just one factor in seeing people throw key . The cause is mainly due to the fact many requested for Epica and got turned down by Transcab.

now $1000 good enuf to get new hirer ? I really dun think so . Not the right move . Will be back fired . The right move ? $300 more of benefits for vehicle 2 years or more . $200 for vehicle under two years . Every agreement one year contract effective from the day u sign up new benefit scheme. $100.for drivers under contract .

a few other factors also caused more to resign . Mainly the delay in implementing the new taxi fare adjustments. Like i said , we expected TC to cme out with something which make us stronger , they didn't . they followed Cdg 6pm peak hour , sure die one . Omo first to throw key .

i really dun see why TC need to follow CDG fare when they knew , or have to know , CDG taxi fare are set base on their strength in their bookings .
BCL asked me he thought i approved that 25% , i said no .
I prefer a lower 20% , and peak hour to start at 5pm , not 6pm .
And i dun required my meter to jump $0.22 , just $0.20 will do , but distance adjust a bit to nett 350m .
And most important , peak end at 11pm .
Not 12mn .
If i can think of that , and are unhappy with it , many will be like me .

i agree totally.. with cng up so much, benefits remain the same, not attractive liao.. must give more benefits lah to those who stayed on...

Now Mandai and Serangoon North pump still so expansive and no power. Toh Guan pump give 17% discount today to VVIP TDs. If still 7% after the $0.20/kg stupid Tax, we have to pay additional $5.00 or more for a full tank pumping. I stay at Woodlands and from now on have to pump at TG if I want to put my overheard down. Sayonara to Mandai and SN. Hope not throwing key soon after the red engine fare hike start on this 3th.

I cannot say i am very good at doing businesses ..... or making decisions .
But i can say , i can push things better or more efficient than those Jasmine or TowKay Teo meeting with !
I really dun think they know what's driving for 2nd shift is like ?
It has been a traditional to start peak hour at 5pm . . . cos 5pm is the time people close shop for the day in the office , 9-5 . . . they dun call it 9-5 for nothing .
And do they know , 11pm , town , or , everywhere in Singapore , demand for taxis slow down liao . . .
And they can decide to do it for peak hour from 6pm to 12MN , ridiculous .

Horse race also forecast , soccer matches also can forecast , this is not difficult to forecast those impacts due to poor decisions .
They have to anticipate , what will happened if CNG cost up ? Yes people throw key .
They must also anticipate , what will happened if implementations too late ? Yes many buay song , throw key !
CNG cost up , meaning benefits got bitten a big share out , total amount down , then drive a CNG for f*ck ?
They must also anticipate what will happened if hirers want an Epica , and not given one ? Throw key !
Drive Comfort better !
They fully deserve it if they kept thinking following CDG no wrong .
They are dead wrong .
If peak hour start at 5pm , at least 25% of those who threw key will maybe remain .
If taxi fare remains at 20cents jump , maybe another 20% will stay .
If they remains CNG sales @ $1.66/kg , at least another 30% will stay .

for those who intend to throw key , by all means , do it . But i stay put . cos i dun see any vehicle is better and comfortable to drive than Wish at the moment . I believe something awakening will happened to encourage less resignations .Given to me as boss , to see my hirers resign one by one is the last thing i wanna to see. believe me . u need really strong marketeers now to sell n woo new wish applicants. $1000 will not work . I swear to u , 2nd of jan they will see more people quit transcab . dun believe me?
