Since first time I started driving, diesel has gone up 28.4% (88c to $1.13 per litre). Not sure how much it was in 2007 (when we had last fare adjustment), but it could be even cheaper then?

I am giving my opinion base on as a whole , it's peanuts paying for taxi fare from most time during the day .
Night shift huat ? Think of day shifts .
It's not just CDG ..... as a whole .
for day shift, the collection is less than before the fare adjustment. morning peak hours' collection dropped about 40~50% (i start around 7plus am). need to drive longer hrs to get the same amount as before. that's why khoon said OBK these few days cos many cheapo pax disappeared.

First day TransCab fare hike , after 9am , many sms came to me , telling me , not true , what huat ?
see this coming CNY who will drive day without the holiday surcharge. shin ming will have headline news again. they should retain the holiday surcharge for day shift since the 25% doesn't benefit them (day shift drivers).

Totally agree!
Normal holidays, that's incl sundays, $2 surcharge.
Key PHs, i.e. NY eve, $3 surcharge.
Airport, $7 all times.

Initially i thought of keeping 1 cts 5 cts to change to pax but i find its such a hassle. Transcab has no auto round down so i round off myself. any amt that does not reach the nearest cent i round off. 7 cts 9 cts nvm just round off.

Much has been said about the day fares . OK i have a suggestion, something much easier to achieve. By now Transcab day drivers cannot collect $3 from MBS on sundays and PH, This i tell u is truly unjustified.
Is there any need to remove this perk given to the reds? will it kill the co to let this surcharge run just so the day drivers can have this small benefit to keep?
If SMRT can keep this surcharge , i do not see why transcab has to remove it.
U want to do something constructive? then lets all get together and petition Jasmine . Moderator can do the writing while the rest can sign including me.
Lets do something about it and if this gets thru ,it is a small victory for us the drivers.

Nobody said CDG is the best , i dun recall myself saying CDG is the best but i have seen umpteen posts saying transcab wish is the best.
ok 25% day fare is just about sealed and concluded . What is left is for Transcab to revert that MBS surcharge back , is it possible?
Never try never know but are u prepared to really make a difference?
I can even go to CNG toh tuck with u to garner signatures.

But as Poolman's post on this issue , who knows .... some fine day newspaper may just pop up an article , say " Taxi is not expensive afterall ? .
And it just may help day shift drivers a bit .
We will never know .

Anyway , cabby.sgforums' article not first time went to Sin Ming or Wanbao .
