CYN driving for day & nite shift

New Year eve day & nite shift (to 12mn) still got pax,after mn,can only get pax from the 2 IR & AP 4 terminals becos all nite entertainments close. 1st day CNY day shift ok many pax wait for taxi,nite shift up to 12 mn same pattern as eve(all nite spots except 2 IR open) 2nd dy CNY day shift ok, nite shift after 12 mn better than 1st day & eve becos some nite spots open for business.

CNY Eve CNY 1 and CNY 2 all ok lar for night. I drove in the 90s also, even that time got Hari Raya and CNY combined 1 time, also very good.
Chinese are majority here so many will be visiting relatives, gambling and drinking even until late in the morning, even the most ulu place during CNY 1 and 2 can find passenger. Kena go Woodlands also no need worry, just relax a bit and do some cruising surely can find.
Last year I was sick didnt drive on the eve, drove on Day 1 and 2, no problems, got tips some more. Drive until dont want to drive, everywhere still got pax after midnight hailing for cabs.
It's the period after CNY when things are awful, everyone finish spending, takings will slow down for a week or 2.
My experience up to now, tells me, town is not always the best place for pax during the CNY holidays. But it may be different for others.

clever one wait inside car park , running after taxis .
Call catch until fingers weak for CNY .
But hot period until 3pm nia .... then dinner liao , slow down liao .
Hottest period is 10am .

My style for CNY Eve ..... in fact CNY Eve , already play mahjong most times , so i really dunno how to tell you all , hahahahah
Got lah , if started at CNY Eve , most Chinese drivers still eating , whole Singapore lacking in taxis , i started always Singapore Zoo from CCK .
Then town pick n go , or play call .....
Until about 7pm , chinese drivers come out liao ....
Quite slow after 6.30pm , the best is stick at HDB area ... pick those going to parents house dinner type .
8pm , in fact , anywhere got people .... $1 holiday surcharge , just sweep that time .
Very robotic style of driving , no strategic driving , just drive , no need scared no people to pick .
Unlike normal days , many banned locations .

Due to ERP stop operational after 2pm i think , quite good if can go into CBD collect $3 City surcharge at 6pm .

Then after 8pm , got people go temple pray pray , go friends house play poker , go Casino , go house gathering etc ....
Ang mor's activities is very less .... most of them run to neighbour countries like Bali holiday , cos in Singapore most shops closed for 3 days .

6pm Orchard area very busy .... last min shopper for new clothing type rushing home .
Taxis very little .... also most shops close at 6pm , 80% of them at least . CK Tang dun even open on CNY eve .
Super rush for taxis .
Airport is the worst hit ....
Super no taxis .

From 8pm to 12mn during eve .... those who Q at taxi stand in CBD , i thought they not very clever .
I run to HDB area .....
Toa Payoh good enough .

Midnight is not about partying .....
CNY Eve is not like normal Eve .... got people partying , not that hot .
CNY eve is about reaching out at HDB do small connections , but i cannot say super huat for CNY Eve .
Just so so ....

CNY from morning 10am , super busy ...... non stop until 3pm .
Then slow down .
Small slow connections .
Jurong area is the best for CNY .
Worst time is 6pm to 8pm , dinner time .
Very quiet , got lar , slow connections .
What i can say , driving on CNY night can be one hell of boring .

CNY pratically evry nite piak n go......... yah best is go hdb midnite
