13 Feb 2012. Completed the module "Rules and Regulations"
So many things cannot do. If do already, donate $100, $500 or $1,000 to LTA then go for 2 weeks, or 4 weeks holiday. Hiaz. Plus earn points somemore. 24 points, game over.
Everybody can complain you, but when you want to complain others, you are supposed to loon, promote harmony because you are aTD.

once start driving, 100% follow classroom theory , highly cannot make it.

Just came back from my first day driving.
Tell myself many many times to remember to On meter, lucky nevr forget. But forget to add CBD charge once. OK lah tomorow must remind myself.
After midnight difficult to get people. Maybe lau jiao here can tell us where can go?

Why not you create a checklist on a card for the following situation:1. When you start your day
2. When Pax board
3. When Pax Alight
4. When you end your day.
lidat, you will not forget. Afer a while, can throw away card.

after a few missed, he will remember for life. On meter, input all surcharge even before the pax is onboard. -

hope i can contribute abit for ur coming TDVL exam next month...
dun worry too much, generally i see from my own eyes most English educated students in the class are able to pass.
Section1 syllabus may be a bit out of this generation... no choice, juz haf to memorize 43/50 to pass
Section2 Routes & Landmarks: your Instructor may tell u which route to memorize n which one no need... Trust me, ALL HAVE TO MEMORIZE. Becos the exam WILL COME OUT ANY OF THE 40 Routes. 23/30 to pass
Section3: Close eye oso can pass. Highway code ask u those Basic theory. Healthy living & Vehicle Maintenance. Sup sup water 6/10 to pass
Section4 Defensive driving: Lecturer always the same person. Juz remember wat he told u to memorize. Sure come out... 15/20 to pass
Section5 NLB (Names&Location of building) - killer section. U won't see the question before in ur class. Some questions are set to make u flip thru the Street Directory like hell. Bear this in mind.. Embassies, schools & some buildings in Robinson & Shenton way came out alot. 41/50 to pass
Out of the 160 questions, i only make 2 mistakes in Section1... anyway wat the heck, driving Taxi on the road is gonna be a completely different thing.. :)

Got , free rides on Singapore Flyer with families , MBS Science Museum free entry , RWS free tickets , Downtown East special discount for chalet etc ...Some Art Museum also free tickets .
Their intentions was to made us got the feel of it and can sell those shiok-ness to tourists .

But i would say , only a minimum of drivers has time to do that .

the worst passengers are the HDB aunties and sucks BRitish and French budget tourist,when i tell them i am new and don't know the routes well,the tourist low class staying in low budget hotel,started scolding and accusing me of taking a long route when i took a wrong turn! i could take them for free,if they insisted on verbally and aggresively abusing me!when the fare fr MBS to Lor 10 Fragrance hotel is $5!got money to go casino!

landmark , route ... dun need to memorize
get familiarlize with the road directory is more impt
how fast you flipped the pages also crucial coz time is limited
all info can be found inside the directory
things that need to memorize ...rules, food to eat, heart disease, maintenance
very easy to pass
