the car driver was probably unhappy with the taxi driver for cutting into his lane without signalling, causing him to slow down
the taxi driver was wrong for jamming his brakes and also purposely colliding into him, but the car driver also one kind.. overtook him from the right and immediately cut into the taxi driver's lane. maybe the taxi driver wanted revenge.
LTA should just take action against both drivers. Its this ungracious attitude that causes accidents.

From the clip, we can see that the Taxi Driver toa kee liao.
But why the Taxi Driver like tat?
Becsuse somebody High Beam AND Ovetake him AND cut into his lane AND slow down somemore (can time the street lights that pass by to estimate the speed). After cut into lane, somemore keep left in the lane. (Taxi already kept left in the same lane)
Actually the Taxi Driver gave way a bit by shifting left in his own lane.
Everybody at fault, even the Grandma that walk on the roadside.
Now if we replay the scenario. Car comes behind Taxi. Taxi not fast enough. Wait for opportunity to cut one lane right. Taxi shift left in same lane. After filter Right, just keep moving forward. No Accident, everybody happy.

Farking pte car driver want to overtake, signal go to the right , why need to disturb the taxi?? why must high beam the cabby, cabby in centre lane at the correct speed, not wrong mah. Knnccb, taxi making a living also want to agitate them. Maybe it is a OBK nite and finally get a pax, then kenna all these stupid driver.
Ok, taxi is wrong, give up driving altogether, so what, at least he show the pte car that never mess with him. The most become security guard lor, then maybe hope trancab take him.
If you look closely, a old cab driving on a centre lane doing his business and suddenly this farker come and disturb him, sway bo??

Car obviously also chut stun and cut into the taxi lane as well in the early part of the video.. that is also dangerous driving.
Taxi also, cannot keep his cool and chui the same stun.. and bang -

Actually the first driver did a dangerous lane change, that's why the taxi driver got pissed.
He flash his headlights as if the expressway belongs to him, then did a very close lane change almost ramming to the side of the other taxi.
Of course the taxi driver angry.
Don't behave like a hooligan, be patient and polite, so that everybody will have a safe journey.

Caught on video: Cabby deliberately rams into car on ECP

A cabby who deliberately rammed his taxi into another car a few times while on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) has been unwittingly caught on video.
According to the other driver, the incident just happened in January this year. The entire incident was recorded down by the driver's in-car camera.
He only recently uploaded the video onto his Facebook account. At the time of writing, the video was shared 193 times on Facebook.
In the video, the driver flashed his high beam at a taxi that moved into his lane. Twice, the driver turned on his high beam.
This caused the cabby to suddenly apply his brakes. The driver claimed on his Facebook that sudden braking in the hope to cause an accident was "standard taxi skill".
Even though the driver flashed his high beam, the SMRT cabby did not give way. In the end the driver switched lanes and overtook the taxi.
About 35 seconds into the footage, the SMRT taxi suddenly re-emerged from the left side and cut into the driver's lane. Judging from the video, the cabby seemed to have rammed the car twice before moving off.
The taxi also seemed to be carrying a passenger in the rear.
The other car stopped and was stationary for more than a few seconds on the ECP, causing other traffic to slow down.
The video then showed both vehicles pulling over to the side of the road.
The driver who also warned people to be wary of taxi drivers who purposely crash into other motorists' cars so that they can get into an accident and file an insurance claim.
He added that it was thanks to his high-definition camera that there was evidence showing that the cabby rammed into him.
The cabby could have claimed from his insurance if he did not have footage of the accident, the man said.
He also added that he had already logged a complaint and sent a copy of the video to the Traffic Police and the Land Transport Authority.
A Stomp reader who saw the video said she was disturbed that a taxi driver was driving aggressively and ramming a car on the expressway.
