This is typically called, how lian, and like some said, shooting own foot. Even a CEO wouldn't tell you how much he earns, nor does cambridge fish soup seller or boon lay nasi lemak,...only uniquely Taxis drivers..hahaha...they will live to regret.

today sunday zao bao just wrote income about $6000 for driving about 8hr knn never say gross or net, for 8hrs of driving, gross $6k yes possible but would prefer all this stupid reporter to write a better clearer picture to readers . knn ccb read liao make me hot

Correct, we as TD, knows the condition..it only makes our living harder, more taxis on the road, more become TD, more paxs look at us differently.You go ask any businessman, any shop owners, and food stall seller,

every few months, this media will come out some news report on taxi earning everytime the report not 100% correct or not written clearly as whether it is net income or gross income than everytime after all this report, you pick up pax, they start saying, woh uncle 6k or 7k hor

$7000 maybe his gross. After rental-$3000 Diesel-$1500 Down time-$500 Only earn $2k. If I got passenger tell me taxi driver jin ho tan, I will tell them, I'm making $1k/day, so is $30k/month, $360k/year.

i think this is how the cd kia reporter arrive at the figure
base on the report that malay TD earn $200 nett on wkdays
up to $500 nett on weekends
so if you add up,a month is $7-8k.
but the report also says he off on Sunday,which means he throw rental or he got relief? never mention at all!!! so is it fair to say $7k?

This type of strategies is commonly use in many trade, esp in those sales line. eg, Finanical line, Property Line, MLM......etc
