$7000/30 days/8 hrs per day = $30 per hour.(Assuming $7k is gross)
$30 x 8 hrs = $240 Gross
$240 - 100 rental - 50 fuel = $90 nett!! Wonder how he get $200 a day!!

Now let's assume $7000 is nett after paying off everything.
This works out to $30 an hour, working for 8 hours solid, with no toilet breaks and always having a pasenger in his taxi, throught the 8 hours.
Maybe some young drivers can drive for 8 hours non-stop without toilet breaks or they pee in the car.
But always having a passenger throught his 8 hour shift!! Really don't know how he does it.

Hi guys..... Was out of this trade but cannot help laughing when I read the article.... I try to be a super relief before and to earn that kind of amount, it is to kill yourself slowly... You guys are right, SPH is trying to sabo everyone..... I know coz I'm the living example who had tried and quit..... 8-12 hours of holding steering is not joke.... Without short break in between will cause an ache on your back and I'm only 33. FYI... I have return to corporate world.....

Recently the Circle line broke down again creating another "Biz Opportunities". So it might be that this States Times is trying their very best to divert the attention of their problem to this $7000 income thingy.
Be prepared for more shit from the States Times. Who knows after the next major mrt breakdown, income of td might increase to $10,000 for driving only 9 hours.
