My fren pick up a pax ang kong gina from IMH buangkok main street not inside the IMH.
Directions to Bedok south blk 42 at 10pm. Along the way, the chinese guy age around 30 plus to 40 talk normaly striking a dialogue abt how his life had been down etc etc. However upon reaching location, pax request to go up to take money and leave behind ez link which my fren refuse and demand at least NRIC. Pax show him wallet empty but only ez link which arouse my fren suspicous even more. In his arguements, he noted that his samsung phone was missing and the pax was seating in front. My fren search frantically and the pax alight but stay outside cab.
My fren told him to wait dont move as my fren search in car but in vain. My fren then did body search on the chinese guy and found nothing. Luckily my fren got a spare phone and call..he was suprised to find his missing phone ringing near to the chinese guy pax under the van. My fren unleash his evilness with farking words and call up police without thinking twice and he was so piss off and angry.
Police arrive and evetually the pax sister came down and want to settle the bill immediately. Police told my fren if he decide to press charges against the pax then they will need to keep his hp as evidence and of cos follow ups at police stn for statements and so forth. My fren mind turn half sian then decide no need as it will be exhausting to make such trips at his own effort. Sister pax says sorry immediately and quickly pay 13 bucks for teh fare. Chinese pax thief keep saying sorry non stop as he quickly goes away before my fren change his mind.
So do take care of you belongings as you never know when the next crime will happen. My fren was lucky but i think he should demand more for time wastage and not pressing charges. One hour 30mins saga earn 13 bucks...wasted.

Knn press charge lah. Spend few hours earn lesser but can teach that CB AT a lesson....why not?

well different ppl different views on resolving issues...for me i will press charges unless out of court settlement...pay me big cash hehehehehe...i prefer pax sit behind then front as i feel uncomfortable...dont noe why..maybe its just me

same here... prefer pax sit behind...my front pax seat always will hav street directory... cashless machine... water bottle... somegtimes bread...
most pax see liao will auto go behind... hee hee...

lv605.on sunday his samsung also kena stolen.after he went to.pump diesel halfway towards the journey cos ran out of fuel .
so one lesson . . . take out your cash card , coins , phones out if pax is still inside

I think u shld press charges... no idea if he will attempt the same stunt with other ppl anot...
But hopefully he learns his lessons...

Of course Must Press Charge, Why?
Now almost everyone here think TDs can earn $7k per month. We will be more vulnerable being crime targets, Taxi Companies also dun allows in-car camera, govt also opening the floodgate of foreigners for our next 6.5millions population. If you are driving everyday and scare trouble, as well leave this high salary job. You will help the crime rate increase and make less job of policenan making a peanuts salary per month.

As the hp is not with him, pressing chargers can be end up attending court if only police is able to establish the evidences, but as said by TS, the hp was under the van beside the pax, if could have dropped off from the cab.

well since the sister is there already, why not test pretend to press charges and see what's her reaction? maybe she will offer something in return not to press charges, any neg between you and pax sister , the police cannot interfer as long both can come to agreement to settle the matter and decide to press charges, can let the police wait a little while

No lah...not black mail...Like young time go supermarket steal things with friends. Got caught then call police. End up parents come and pay for the stolen goods then drop case.
So tell the sister take money buy back the phone at NEW phone price. Then can take the money go buy new handphone. Old one throw back to the AT loh....

for member reading this trhead, please note there is some case happen to td in the past where td put handphone in front center console area and was stolen SO be very careful where you put your phone while driving
