  So HDB is happy as they buy season parking.

  Happier if 80% are omo.

  LTA not so happy, many taxi left idle at car park, taxi crunch problem not so easy to solve.

  More taxi driving 24 hrs higher revenues on ERP & fines on traffic violations.

  Taxi companies reaction is mixed.

  Rentals are fixed whether omo or 4 reliefs to a taxi.

  Taxi running 24 hrs use more diesel ,so fattening their revenue on diesel sales.

  The negative sides are:more mileage done in a day more wear & tear more often on wksp due to accidents,

  M&R,spare parts replacements etc.

  More omo so lesser reliefs registered w taxi co.

  Each relief pays $1k as downpayments/security.

  They are holding nearly 30k(nr of taxi drivers)x1k =$30m as FD(fixed deposit) earning interest.

  Ah kong want the OMOs to drive a minimum mileage . Screw them . When one not driving the taxi he  is  not earning income but  still need to pay rental. Now the ah kong want to control our life. Phui x 10.

  it means that in order to earn a bit more than just $50 per day u gotta to OMO and drive more than 14 hrs per day!and forget about other things in life like exercise,family life,  friends or social relaxing eg. watch TV,go Geylang!

  having a hirer and relief is the best.

  relief 1/2/3/super relief

  monday to friday hirer drive day 4am-4pm,sat and sun off

  relief 1 drive monday  to thursday 4pm-4am

  relief 2 drive friday to sun 4pm-4am

  relief 3 drive saturday and sunday 4am-4pm.

  super relief drive when any of the guy is down

  engine on 24 hours...BOOM...engine drop on the floor...hahhaa

  if there is no omo, anybody can guess. how many td will obk? i seriously tks omo n poolman type of driving. with them, hard work can still earn money.. without them, maybe more than 80 % td obk every day.. until pang chey.. tks again..

  Soon LTA will enforce all taxi to have certain mileage run in a mth,if not get a relief or rtn taxi. No 3rd option.

  Why so many OMO ?

  Cos taxi driving is one job that can give you personal transport and salary at the same time .

  Car so expensive in Sgp , and job so hard to comeby .

  u would be suprised many do not buy season parking as hirer has 3 relief,and even if kanna 1 a mth is still better than $90/**. Of course when go makan this 50cts better not to save.

  less time wasted going to workshop...

  all of us know tat go TC workshop means half a day gone... no rebates for non-service maintainence hor...

  last time car almost 24/7 OTR... every two or three weeks muz go workshop... lights lah... brakes lah... tyres lah...

  tyres is the most hard to replace at TC... usually hav to make two or three visits before someone agrees tat it can be changed...

  rubber burning 24/7 OTR wears out faster coz no time for it to cool down... since omo... onli changed once... and still haven wear...
