all i know is after mid 2013, there will no more manual transmission for taxis.
all will be automatics.
TVL exams will get harder & harder as well.

Yes, Goberment richer by $2, but TD also richer by $3.80, no lost, don't mislead people over here............
Is just like some projects tender by company, they know the margin is very low, but need business to sustain the operation, if totally no projects, sooner the company will go bust............
Of course Poolman can say, outside CBD bo pax meh............but sometime, you just need to have a pax on board quickly than searching high and low outside...........inside got ready pax, why still drive outside aimlessly............of course I'm talking about day driving, and it does happen very frequently...........

oh yah... foreign cars (ie. m'sian cars) can drive in & out of CBD areas at only $5 per day. twice or 10 times, still only $5.
why can't LTA implement this on taxis as well? LTA think we don't like to drive into CBD areas to pick up passengers? of course we do!! but its just not feasible.
we need to create a petition & get thousands of signatures from legit cabbies then those bird-brains will wake up. or else, nothing will ever change or will get even worse.

People tender project at a low price because they have many ways to generate income from this project, what for survive only....... i sit at home and eat loti also can survive.
But rather suprise that Pool got to voice out this matter, isn't this is inbuilt in LV member bloodstream?
For me, i'm more advance....... since government discourage Taxi from entering CBD, we should not go in and congest the place.
It's not about the money issue, it's we respond to the government calling.
Commuter can't get Taxi inside CBD, i feel for them, but i can't do much to change. They should respond towards government calling too, go outside CBD to get a Cab lor

When we post in forum, don't forget there's many many kind of TD around.........
Of course certain timing is really not worth driving, but how about those day shift drivers? So they take over at 5am, finish at 11am?????..........
When there's a pax on board, is always GAIN.......where got lose 1?????.......
Long or short trips, surcharge or no surcharge, ERP or no ERP........everybody just want to get the earning fast and call it a day...........
Let those school high high to solve those shit problem, if I'm willing to pay ERP and pick up, is not that I'm pro-goberment or helping pax, I'm helping myself so that my daily routine is smooth and steady.............
If you go in Bugis and pick up pax to Golden Mile, meaning u are as raw as a newbies...........

I always pay ERP to go into CBD to get pax when o/s CBD can't get one (after 5pm). Like what you've said, pay $3 to get a fare of $3.20+$0.80+$3.00, at least I don't drive aimlessly for pax o/s CBD. I drove Prime previously, SMLJ call oso dun have.
Some people dun understand what is 拉长补çŸã€‚They just want the é•¿ dun want the çŸ. Haiz!

Yes , u were compensated $3 City Surcharge for doing so ....... what about those paid $2 and got nothing at 2pm ?Yah lah , as usual , their problems .

If CDG taxis 6pm , still need to pay $3 to got into CBD to get paxes , they are really not good enough .
I will never pay $3 to get into CBD , will have 100% people bring me in .

LTA knew those consequences of imposing the $3 ERP , that was why the $3 CBD City Surcharge was implemented ...... that round , Taxi dvr 1-0 , cos most just "cannot afford" to go in .
Flag down $3.00 , ERP $3 ....... make any business sense to me ?
If night shift drivers can do it , day shift can do it too ...."cannot afford" .

That day that NTA's Ang tcss with DJ on radio, someone brought up the idea to implement ERP for $x per day for taxis.
Last time when Cisco guarding at the gantry time, already $3 liao, I dun think they will charge $1 for one whole day, $10 more likely, I think.
