Vietnamese Girl left $7K in a Transcab taxi this morning

My wife just told me this morning about her Vietnamese GF who took a Transcab taxi from CCK Crescent to Airport terminal 2 at about 10.30am. Two ladies and a little girl, the lady sitting in front seat left her wallet which had S$7K in it. Was told that the Vietnamese lady came to earn money for her mother's operation. She is asking for the driver to come forward and please return her money. Was told that young Vietnamese fainted when she realised her money left in the Transcab taxi. Poor lady.

Charies get your wife friend to call 6603-1xxx Jasmine Tan (Transcab GM) Direct line.
Give her the Time and Exact location she board the Transcab Taxi, and time she reached T2.
Jasmine Tan can get the Ops department to log in the Transcab Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) Server and within minutes, She can locate the Cab that pick up your wife fan and They will call the cabby.

All TAxi MDT Ops with a SIM Card, CDG using SingTel, Transcab and SMRT using StarHub.
The SIM card provide a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), with this SIM card even you unplug all cables attached to the MDT, The buttom battery with the MDT still can provide a signal to communicated with the Taxi company Mobile Data Terminal Server.
Number of TD murder cases, the MDT cables was all been unplug but the SPF still can locate the Taxi is because of this SIM card.
(Those Ex-SPF members can proof this, Is ONLY SPF don't want to disclosed) -
Thanks. I have forwarded ur advise to the lady. She is now back in Vietnam and is havin hard time facing her family who is waiting for the money. S$7K to them is living cost for 2 years!!! I will have her make a police report and help her report to Transcab and Jasmine. Thanks for ur advise

I heard from my wife that she came to Singapore and worked in KTV to earn the money needed for her mother's operation. She had to carry seven One Thousand Dollar notes so that it is easy to hide from Vietnam customs which only allows US$4,000 to be brought into Vietnam. She accidently dropped it when she took out money to pay for cab fare. She was sitting in front seat. The 7 1K notes were rolled up and tied with rubber band. She discovered it was missing when she took out her passport to check in. It is her hard earned money, she took 3 months to earn and save this money but now I lost it. I have already made a police report on her behalf and will go to TC to see if I can get Jasmine to help trace the taxi. According to her, she thinks the TC driver lives at same block 690 CCK cause he was seen carry a water bottle into car park and exit the car park just as the ladies walk out to flag taxi. Anyway, just have to see if the TD got heart to return what they really lost and need. I feel so bad for her. So they know some details about the taxi.

They are on tourist visa so cannot open bank account here. Even money they earn per day they have to keep under pillow or mattress. Even if u TT back to Vietnam, the Vietnam authority will start checking where money come from. Have to hand carry mah. I heard these girls everyday earn bread or instant noodles to save as much as they can. Only when go out wt custs then they eat more cause they no need pay. I think these things we never think or encountered.

Remittance center nowadays is a farking brisk business.........from Bangala, Indonesia, China, to county like Lao, Camboria, Vietnam, Myanmar.........where got problem sending back money?..........
And holding tourist visa plus working here illegally.........that's show how much she knew about law and order..........
Whether her story is true or not..........people whom I had know having the same problem like her never had problem sending money back to their country...........
Sometime, believing too much on 1 story will create a distress for yourself..........

First of all, I would like to thank CT2220 and Poolman and the TD who returned the money to TC office. The lost $7k is recovered and I have gone down to TC office and given TC the police report and spoken to Jasmine Of TC to hold the money till the Viet lady come and claim for it. Have my wife informed the lady that her money is recovered and she is very happy. See, TD do have a heart. There are TD that cares.
These Viet women that come, they dun steal, cheat, rob, kill. They just provide a service that men wants. So who are we to judg them. Maybe u may no have travelled a lot and dun know situations in that country. U try to bring $7k to Vietnam and show the customs officer, see what he says!!! These people are poor but no all are liars or cheats. Anyway, money recovered. Can delete this thread already.

First of all, thanks god $7k was recovered........
It lead me back to my first question, why bring so much cash with you if you know the limitation by Vietnam's custom?
Secondly, nobody is judging this Viet's gal, detail provided by TS, I'm just post what I know, why a tourist pass holder working in Singapore? Simple as that, and full stop, the rest is provided by TS..........
Lastly, Why must I know the situation of other country?.......you come Singapore, you follow rules, I go Vietnam, I follow their rules, simple as that........
Don't reiterate just for reiterating, everything is provided and post by TS, nobody is assuming.........
