I think there is some plan by certain quarters to get minorities to drive taxis, in order to lessen their difficulties in finding work in the job market.
So dont be surprised to find more incidents of minorities esp Malays being given extra spotlight.

Is singapore unemployment rates getting bad?? No, we are fully employed
Is singapore taxis less than most other developing countries? No, we are one of the top countries with the most taxis in reference to the population
Is singapore taxis service getting bad? No, we actually improved, we are at Nos 2 position now on the taxi league.
Is Singapore taxi rental one of the highest in the world? Yes, it is one of the highest including fuel prices and taxation.
Is Singapore taxi fares one of the highest in the world? No, singapore taxis fare is cheap in compare to many developed countries.
As such, with high rental fuel and low fares, obviously, as a TD in singapore, we have to struggle, therefore it is not a matter of services or not enough taxis on the road, it is more of a commerical business issue here, Taxis companies need to increase their profit margin by renting out more taxis, with more taxis, meaning more fuel charges and also return of investment, in short, ROI.
Therefore, do not come to talk shit about no cabs, less cabs on the road, or that this paxs complain or that pax cannot get a cab or that cabby lazy or simply drive less? all these might be the propanganda for taxi companies to increase their ROI profit.

Haha, this morning on the way back, picked up 1 old man asked me why cannot find cabs? He say he call LTA, they said got 25k cabs on the road.
He ask me why like that?
I said I dunno ( really why should I care), in my heart I think knn, you dont want to call a cab plus take after 10am, where got so many cab wanna drive at this bowah hour? For me, auto, after morning peak (whenever I do morning) once 930am, my energy level reach 0, time to go back for a break

Yesterday also same ..customer say no cab..i told her if u have a handphone just call a cab so easy. But if u choose to wait next time...pls wait long long wakakakakkakaka
