  Traffic Arrangements

  For the safety of spectators and to facilitate traffic arrangements for the event, the following lanes and roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the stipulated periods:

  Extreme left lane of Marina Boulevard in the direction of Bayfront Avenue (between Raffles Quay and Bayfront Avenue)	31st December 2012 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. the following day

  In addition, the vehicular traffic direction of the following road will be reversed to facilitate crowd dispersal:

  The carriageway of  Temasek Avenue in the direction of Bayfront Avenue (between Raffles Boulevard and Raffles Avenue)	31st December 2012 from 11.30 p.m. to 1.30 a.m. the following day

   

   

  
  Auxiliary Police officers will be stationed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists.  Traffic advisory signs and electronic Variable Message Signs will also be put up near the affected roads. Motorists are encouraged to tune in to the radio for the latest traffic updates. 

  Parking at peripheral roads and stopping of vehicles along the ECP (Benjamin Sheares Bridge) to watch the fireworks is strictly prohibited.  Enforcement action will be taken against errant motorists who do so. Vehicles which are parked causing obstruction will be towed away.

  Those proceeding to Marina Barrage are advised to use public transport or the shuttle services provided by the event organiser.

  Bus inspectors will be stationed at selected locations to advise commuters on the public bus services affected by road closures.  Information signs will also be placed at the affected bus stops.

  As heavy traffic and delays are expected, the understanding and cooperation from the public is much appreciated.
