I too agreed that nowaday a lot of newbies (like me) will really be hard to adapt the older method being advised to them. But I believe the longer they hold the steering, the more they will appreciate the advice being given.

Errm I dont think I was a cowboy. A lone ranger yes in the old wild wild west, but cowboy no. Become cowboy must beware of the Sheriff or his Deputy.
Anyway all these terms not referring to you, but to some forummers past, maybe still got some present.
As for being rebels without a course or heroes for nothing, that's my advise again not for you but for some, who feel they must advice or teach every newbie all the things, stunts, patterns etc.
In the end it's not appreciated, worse still, you get arrowed or become very popular with the authorities. As said, everyone reads this forum, not just TDs.
