3] For CBD roads with bus lanes, taxis will not be allowed to pick up and drop off passengers along the road (both on the side of the road with the bus lane, as well as the opposite side of the road if it is a one-way road) during the bus lane operation hours. The bus lane operation hours for normal bus lanes are Mon to Fri (7.30am to 9.30am and 5pm to 8pm, excluding Public Holidays), and for full day bus lanes – Mon to Sat (7.30am to 8pm, excluding Public Holidays).
So, a simple way to remember is can I go into bus lane (yellow or red)? if yes, can pick/drop. This is applicable to both L/R sides of the road if one-way.
Eg. cecil st only yellow lanes right? So 0930 to 1700hrs can pick/drop. Robinson rd got red lanes, therefore no pick/drop till after 2000hrs.
Off course, no drop/pick also at the 4 roads mentioned in their news release, link above.
CBD, I think includes orchard area cos orchard link is mentioned as 1 of the forbidden roads.
From 1 January 2013, taxis will be allowed to pick up/drop off passengers along all roads within the CBD, except those with bus lanes during their operation hours , and specific roads which are dangerous for all vehicles to stop at any time such as Finlayson Green, High Street, Orchard Link and Esplanade Drive. These adjustments will also make it more convenient for passengers in and going to the CBD, to hail a cab and to alight near their destination.
So u can do more CHANGING SHIFT Chinatown legally inside CBD
So minus all bus lane, any diff from last time.

coconut tree - pah, you ppl got no imagination. Give la some nicer name. Like I gave my friend's new house a nane - Highbury, which he adopted.
or name it after another place or road - eg I used to meet my friend at a coffeeshop in AMK which I call Ipoh Lane.
Coconut tree change name to Battery Road better right or Fort Road, I am sure you see the connection with the 2 suggestions.

Got lah , i called it Ant-field .
Just too many ants ......
Rendezvous - I always liked this French word pronounced - Ron day voo - meaning meeting place or appointment.
Yeah it's better than coconut tree
Lan Tio Wu lah ....
In fact i very stubborn on this ..... if there is a taxi stand , if there is long Q of pax at taxi stand , i never take street paxes except those at taxi stand .
I mean in cbd ..... i thought is the best for both parties . They wait at taxi stands , we pick them up at taxi stand .
Hijack taxis ? I dun entertain such people .
These people are meant for me to interview .....
As for alighting pax .... i will try to alight at t/s , if usually they dun alight at main road , they alight at taxi stand .
