Latest cdg mdt installed with cam to monitor inside taxi?

Just changd my hirer with a brand new sonata. The mdt body has a round hole that looks like a camera lens. Can anyone advice?
The mdt also quite irritating, can actually know the speed limit even on normal roads and super sensitive. expressway 95km/hr, normal roads 65km/hr will start warning and not able to mute the warning voice.

Some use it for at least 4 months liao ......
U dun smoke , it's okay lah , once u smoke , all will be captured and sent back to HQ , hahahahah .
That camera is for security lah , no worries .
Like ah-cha-ko case , all captured on video .
My friend when he smoke , cover the lens with the cleaning cloth , hahahahah

i sat in one of the sonata with such MDT .... he actually got a voice prompt to tell driver to slow down etc etc ..... above the speed limit etc etc .....
True quite irritating .....
Once the speed warning come , i straightaway look at the speedometer naturally .
very natural one .
Nabey over 90km/hr speeding warning ?

Rubbish la anyhow say without checking.
My other hirer has this, where got lens, you know what a lens look like?
And the sound can be switched off, in the settings menu. Unlike the old MDT once you go over 100kmh, the 'drive carefully' message comes, this one has nothing once you switch off.

thats good to know theres camera installed inside the cab, does it record audio as well?
but the speed detector very irritating leh, minor/ normal roads also will make noise if over just a bit. will confirm with my hirer tomorrow can mute it or not... also will make a sign stating camera installed inside cab so pax wun dare to chut pattern... hehe...

the speed sensor super sensitive lah, 95km/hr starts to kpkb liao. my pax was laughing all the way earlier. and i was actually hogging lane 1 .lol...

It is a hardware lens i saw it , positive ....whether or not got software running it , we dunno yet ?
My that friend safety , when smoke , cover the MDT with cloth ...... he say one , i dunno .

off topic abit, my previous hirer can consider best hirer, almost 2 years partnership leh, just that 2 bus stop away... everynight walk until hey hey kio... (my only form of exercise).
2 weeks ago got another hirer, need to take bus one, no reverse sensor and mdt keeps hanging almost everynight, really spoiler! so FIRE! Now managed to find one accross my street. Hope all goes well...

Can't tell you exactly as I only drive that cab on weekends, the other cab (weekday) is using the old MDT, in fact I am asking the hirer to faster change if possible.
(New one easier for cashless terminal to spoil - hahaha, dunno why? Hahaha)
I think it's under the settings you set for routes - the new MDT has a built in GPS that uses voice to guide you. I think it's where the routes settings is - you can either set the route you want to a) fastest or b) shortest. I always set to b.
Around that page theres also one for the voice for warnings, you deactivate it for speed limits. But it works fine for guiding you where to turn if you use the GPS, even with the speed warning voice deactivated.
That button deffo not camera lens, I had a look at it closely when I used it the first time, but hey since you now suggest it, I better double confirm.

Not possible, ever since I started driving, I must smoke and drive. Maybe for a few hours can forego, even 1 whole day (if driving some VIP like when I limo driver), but day by day? Nah must smoke.
How to make driving less stressful if not by smoking?

IMHO.I read in Newspaper recently that LTA have said they don"t even allowed Car DVR with voice recording not to mention visual recording inside the taxi either installed by the taxi driver or taxi company.Car DVR recording front visual is ok with the LTA.Private car not in this category.So i don"t think so,maybe the MDT come with the in cab recording function but i think they have disabled the function.
