On a positive note,,, received SMS from SMRT Taxis: "Drive and Win promotion>Stand to win up to $30,000 SMRT diesel vouchers when you drive more than 250km per day per vehicle for all Weekends and Public Holidays in a month. Monthly lucky draws will be conducted for the promotion period from Apr to Jun 2013, Terms and conditions apply" They say weekends and public holidays but didn't say must be peak hours. Anyway Sun and Public Holidays , evening peak too many taxis OTR liao.... day time no peak surcharge ,,, taxi shortage ... the other way round

hi guys want play ap nowadays need changi airport app. have to see taxi quantity first before go try.
but don't believe the voice tat says taxis needed where. totally buay zuin one.

250km per taxi per day , not 250km per man...and take note, this 250km, you have to ferry passengers with the meter in operation, not vacant taxi
if your famly members got TDVL, you can pass the taxi to them and ask them take over LOL
this regulation will result in a scenario where u will see a surge in the application of TDVL even though they are not geuninely interested in taking up this profession

Can makan at AP while waiting mah, buy a fix up tray from Diaso, hv some paper plate, cup, a piece of napkin, while waiting, place your rice and dishes on the tray, then with plastic knife, fork and spoon, on one of your light, too bad cannot drink wine, if not will be a perfect candle light dinner at the Airport.By the time you finished yr dinner, pax waiting swee swee for you. Now u know why the last rubbish bin before out of Q is alway full.

Anything above 200km is a killer in a long run.This 250km rule is a typical cane by LTA into TD, between taxi companies and LTA, whatever their differences and disagreement, the final sufferer is alway the TD, and on profit, we get the least of the least.
There is simply no logic to enforce TD in the way they drive, we agreed on the rental, took out the taxi, ply the road, make our living out of it, anything wrong?
NO taxi complain by pax, and Taxi urge LTA to release more quotas on taxis, so that they can get more drivers and earn more rental profit..(now you know why many newbie are con into OMO by their trainer who work for Taxis companies).
LTA increase COE and tell taxis companies to hold on the quotas, Taxis companies tell LTA COE too high result in rental high, hard to get drivers,
LTA then ask TC what to do, TC said reduce COE, we reduce rental, give us more quotas, we rent out more taxis on the road, reduce those private cars, give them no loan and so on...then LTA said, cannot like this and like that..
then LTA see collars who only knows how to exploit the weak, point it down to the end user and that is us, the TD.
You guys see the picture? If you treat urself as part of an organisation, like taxis companies, why is there no medicate benefit, no insurance, no cpf, and no negotiation power in bonuses and rental fees? It is a one way ticket policy, not democratic at all. Just like take the chicken, chop head or legs is up to them to decide, the chicken got no way out.
Given no ownership of taxis is allowed, at least give share option at a lower rate, drivers gets early good dividends and also know that when they retired, they got a pie of the shares to withdrawn, then at the same time, the drivers will feel more owned and will be more discipline to work for the company which they hv share on.
As such, in knowing if they work harder, company make money, they may get more dividend, that should be the way Taxi companies and LTA apply their management to enhance we, the taxi uncle living, not go around and change this and that stupid rules...aiyo, I casket driver think better than them.

I call up CSO to check with them yesterday. Twice I called, once AM and once PM.
1st call:250km will be measured base on average for the whole month divide by 28 days. eg, Jan travel 7000km. Divice by 28 days = 250km per day. Hired or vacant all included.
2nd call: 250km measured on a DAILY basis per taxi. Hired or vacant all included. At least 28 days in a month must meet the 250km. I ask the CSO why the answer different. She says doesn't know and will feedback this to Management.
Any other differing ways of measurement?

250km is measure daily as require by LTA CSO not just your company only others also theirs not very sure The real answer, that include my one Premier. Every time I throw questions. Until they cannot answer because I know that they Don't know the answer
