pick up a passenger from vivo to garden by the bay

  but passenger says avoid erp. how huh? 

  can tell passenger to get another cab? 

  i tell passenger, i dun know how to aviod erp, he says ok then. 

  u guys know how to avoid erp from vivo to garden by the bay?

  I think can but longer route..ECP u-turn at Fort Road back to ECP towards city then exit Marina South to GBTB?

  Exit Rochor then up by Ophir Road? If I got this kind of kam lan pax I will tell them yes I can avoid ERP then take them sight seeing....This is what I call penny wise pound foolish....Cheapo....hahaha

  If pax ask you avoid erp.tell them.you want pay more $ and longer travel timing distances just for $2? $2 vs $4.even kids know.

  From Vivo........Turn right toward Keppel.......

  Turn left to AYE/Jurong.........

  Exit Normanton.........

  Go straight until Bukit Timah turn right.........

  Sibeh swee Liao, Bukit Timah all the way.......up AYE/Jurong again........

  knn, all ERP siam.........

  This is the gahmen (LTA) fault.

  By creating Gardens by the bay as outside the CBD area, it gives impression to those "boh lui one take taxi only on Sat/ Sun" cheapos that there should be a way to get there from Vivo without paying ERP.

  Then when we TD tell them it is impossible, or even if it possible must take longer route they will think TDs just trying to find easy way out. KNN

   

  But if you have listened to Pool to ban Vivo, you would have no such problem in the first place.

  strange...I tot up ecp exit marina south/bayfront ave exit wl not kn erp?...jia lat. ..i memory poor...forgot wheres the gantry rember go before..follow those those trucks turn right before reaching bayfront ave..bo erp si bo?

  I encountered similar pax also, but not to go Gardens by the bay.. Local guy, he rather go longer route and pay me, then go thru shorter, faster route and pay ERP give garment..

  cannot bypass the erp. hard unless you go by longer route. normally i take pax from vivo counter. 40 pts to MBS.

  as far as my experience is concern ....

  Tourist will NEVER ask about ERP !

  Local will lan lan pay for ERP !

  In my entire life as a cabby , no one ever asked me to avoid ERP to a destination !!!

  If tmr someone asked me ...... i get him to drive !!! ( he takeover the wheel )

  I pay him taxi fare .

  Sometimes , locals also dunno gantry location , dun say cost of ERP .

  Dun say locals , i know some cabbies u get them point me those gantries in Singapore and the ERP prices of different time , they also cannot answer me . 

  Dun say tourist .

  really its happened, the passenger was a foreign indian working in Singapore, some more use his iphone GPS to help me check out the shortest route

  so did you follow his route or went by your route or its the same route?  it is best route or hoalland route?  did u reach gbtb going erp route or manage to siam erp using another route? lastly I think the indian pax using gps to guide u is pax picked up from raffles place, now become vivo?!

  you damn fishy oldlee. I also kena this kind of pax before.

  But their main concern is the shortest route. si mi erp, that one is dependent on time.

  same as poolman, never once i kena foreigner ask me avoid erp.

  local will just pay and pay. don't even know location of erp.

  Myself i only know evening erp prices.
