Got a feeling the current taxi association are linked to PAP, they won't do much on our interests. We need a non bias taxi association to take on the system and to protect taxi drivers

Let me tell you the basic rules for application of an association.
For TD, you need 7 TDs to start an association, it must be applied thru the registrar of Arbitration Court or any other consent court to get approval, all 7 of them will be screen thru, from kiam ah long to kiam taxis companies and personal reputation. Position from leaders to member within the 7 person must be clearly spell out, purpose and objective of the association must also be cleary spelled out.

I felt NTA doing okay so far to give benefits to their members .....
As in giving money .... buy books , spectacles vouchers , holiday chalet , travel package , annual dinner n dance etc etc ....
As for policies making , they are muppets to me .

They have a hand in the overhaul of fare structures .

But as far as certain policies is concern , like ERP charges for taxis , i felt they had done what should be done to "feedback" to the government , but the main culprit against their "feedback" , its not them , it's LTA .

set up one more no use one lah you must understand the current law has make so much restriction for Association you think by having a new taxi association cn result you being able to strike? able to force taxi company to lower rental? As many has said so, td are still mainly classified as self-employed, many drive on their own , many tds i would say or somebody has say, don't like , disagree with this and that policy, but reality, who they vote? only they know themselve if TS really wish to look forward to have another association, why not offically register for one? i believe poolman will support,but not necessary must be chairman or head, maybe committee member will do, i sure they will be follower to join, maybe i might be one of them too. but personally , i still believe in having a new company, with real benefit more towards tds i am sure it work better than having a association ,

Well.....there's always social media to help us.......i've been playing ard with this idea....to use social media to educate the pax and to voice out our unhappiness.....

That is a plus for our govt, they know that singaporean, being not united, nothing will happen, because unity is strength, and to prevent it, more foreigners are put into the society, more rich and poor disparity.
