  RIP Lim Poh Wah - tragically passed away on 26 Feb 2013
  
  It was his first day at work, and tragically, it proved to be his last.
  Mr Lim Poh Wah, 29, was delivering documents when he fell off his motorbike after a near collision with a taxi. A black Volvo then ran over him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Singapore Civil Defence Officers. He was hit near the Farrer Road Market bus stop. The driver of the Volvo, a woman who looked to be in her 40s, declined to comment. She looked visibly shaken and was dabbing her tears with a tissue. She was overheard telling SCDF officers: “It happened too fast and I couldn’t stop.”
  
  Also, just a note, we can’t just put 100% of the blame onto the woman driver solely (which most people are doing so) because you must remember, if the cab driver didn’t cause Poh Wah to fall, then the woman driver (in the Volvo) wouldn’t have run over him. Essentially, both of them are at fault because they did cause his death. But we can’t really be judge of that. More evidence is needed before we can really form a solid conclusion. On an end note, this is really a tragedy. He was so young and he was at the prime of his life.

  If that taxi never hit that motor bike, how you expect him to own up?.........

  He might just drive on, and won't be able to know what's happen behind him...........

  the pap started encouraging people ride bicycle - esp thos eofreign workers who started it. on the pavement they are like thugs , on the road they are like rabbits, crying victim whenever they got banged in teh ass.

   

  i say the gahmen should stop encouuraging people ride bicyle and epople should giv way to them. let thigs be like tin the pass. our forfathers ride also dont have so much kaopeh kao bu probalem!

   

  the recent 2 kids got run over by car? that one they asked for it. i bet they rode on the pedestrian crossing and could not speed up or have patience wait in time for their turn to 'ride' across the lines drawn for ppadestrian to walk actually! so any sway vehicle that kissed them the driver got blamed lor! moreover i bet its longbang 2 oversized kids how to manuvaur fats? they endanger themselves, pedestrians and vehicles around them!

  in the 80ties and 90ties we stop our bicycle when truck or bus is passing. we stop and give way to turning vehicle. sadly, these days, bicycles and pedestrains expect vehicles to stop

  This is so tragic! I was there aftermath the accident as I am living around there. The taxi driver involved had stayed behind to give accounts of the accident. I could see how shaken the well heeled lady was as I had spoken to her briefly. She kept praying and sobbing tears. But the life lost is even heart wrenching. Condolence to his love ones.

  The taxi driver din run leh.....

  Anyway, what most said is right, it is a near collision, and as noted, still under investigation, so let not jump into any conclusion.

  But then we TDs mah, TCSS, gong wu gong bo is our trademark..hehehe
