[Discussion] Sgp should have "2 drivers 1 taxi" buddy system

They should make it complusory .
Strictly no OMO-ship !
Find a partner then can drive .

Then Sgp will only have 28,500 taxis on the road each day , not 40,000 !!!!

The more OMO we got , the longer Q it is , sooner or later ....... more empty taxis on the road , more car park required , more land used for car park .
More taxis means less paxes .
More competition .

They will make Taxi rental so expensive..... till one man are unable to cope

Not really, some go home sleep, some sick, some on holiday, so I guess at any one time, most is 22000 on the road, and during weekday afternoon, maybe only 16000 on the road..hehehe -

Strongly against new TVDL holder to be allowed to hire a taxi .
They have to come out with new regulation
" Applicant under 1 year taxi driving experience are not allowed to hire a taxi ."
Be relief first ..... learn the trade , sak eh sek liao ..... then become hirer .

Dun worry about this, this said to be minimum LTA requirement. And remember LTA come out with this just to please the paxs who keep complaining no taxis..knn cannot call one meh? Not bo taxis, pax bo lui lah. $18+ fare...10min I there liao.Look at it closely, 250km implementation, LTA gain anything? Taxis company gain anything? when these 2 parties do not gain anything and actually need to work more harder thru their admin to keep track here and there, you think it will sustain??
For Taxi companies, as long as rental keep coming in, track for fark?
For LTA, as long as implemented and paxs know, press so much for fark? knn have to employ more staffs to do the admin leh and that equal to lost..LTA got do lost one meh, as long as road tax are paid, the more taxi the merrier.

Another regulation they must adopt
"Drivers without 5 years driving experience need not apply for TVDL "

Those earnring 3k and above and still on the job, not qualify to take TVDL

those Taiko looking, also not qualify

For hirer, must paid upfront 1 to 3 years rental depending on contract, thereafter, no need to go back and deposit liao

1/2 shift cannot earn 7k a month leh....

..provided open backside for ang mo cau, then can qualify to earn 7k as TD

those do not have more then 3 children, cannot qualify. after driving Taxi, they will likely drop the ideal of having even 1 child.

So to create more children, those with no children or not yet marry, Cannot enter CBD during peak period

1) they won't want to manage this, very tedious
2) many partnerships will break bec cant get along
3) if break up, many taxi driver will demand to be able to drive while looking for partners, bec they need to make a living, so how?
