  i still think, semi-retired still need to work, but maybe 50% of the week,.can relax relax, no target. also body machine carry function normal and healthy. and i still feel a cab driver is a good form of semi retired.

  @ BRO BCL I totally agree with you. I will very hard to get into the semi- retirement plan but before that need to clear $100k owed to HDB. 10 more years to go then finished payment. HDB AFP ( already finish payment).

  Some people likes to project an image of successful to their tier, they always claim that money is not an issue, anything they are still using are super good (but this supper good thing can let go for just a small incident, like the 25 kid case), hide under some place to serve only "quality" pax......etc

  All these, is also a convincing sentences for himself too, that he is not moving any forward, to achieve something higher in life.

  Does he really living like a semi retire life?

  I do not have any form of loan to service except the HDB loan, when i drive Taxi, i do not need any extra booking fee, i go anywhere pax want to go, even they don't pay me......i will not get upset and post in the forum.

  So what if i am sent to woodlands at 10pm, take my time to empty back to town lor or even keep for the day lor, isn't this is relax driving? 

  Do i need what, 13 quality pax, reject pax that go somewhere i do not want to go.......etc, seem very stress to drive this way

  Seem like, i am more semi retire..............

  after 65, most singaporean lau kok kok liao.. only mercedee lau kok kok still ok, accordingly to optimalprime..

  Actually down here ....semi-retired or fully retired gong more taxi si bo? hahaha I can think of so many fulltime TDs quietly earning $ ,, hardly ever gong taxi or post here.

  the reason becos they view taking pax, even grabbing pax very very important.. where got time tcss here.. maybe i drive too much liao.. sometimes pax in front, at certain timeing, i also dun take liao.. $, that little bit more wun make me fat or make me go hungry.. talking abt hungry, still remember that pax in front of me grab by another td on 2nd of cny 5am in the morning at geylang.. during cny, everybody earn more than usual..still need to grab? really need $, rob much faster..

  million dollar just example nia, some got million also cannot retired, how much a unit in Sentosa Cove worth?.......

  Semi retire is actually not yet retired, more of self praising words that I am free and financially better than many others.

  And in the context of TD, in comparison, it is like telling you, you all slog all day and nite for such a pathetic $$, see me, relax and happy. More of a self illusion.

  If you have study human behavorial, you will find that those retired early, be they rich or poor tends to behave out of the norm, and most will end up with weird thinking as the time permit them to think wildly, and in a long run, dementia and may other mental illness creep into them.

  Perhap now you understand why the rich are still working, why rich movie stars are still acting and why our MM still want to TCSS.

  The human brain are make to think subjectively on one focus, like TD, once inside, you start to think about pax, routes, TP, collection, and all others involving taxi driving, the monk do breathing thinking, in out, in out..and the worst will be sedentary thinking such as those semi or fully retired

  maybe some should think.of that kind , like job staisfaction stuff , stimulate yr thinking power , ahead of money . . . . job challenge without incurring or jeopardise those basic required income , like taxi rental and diesel or cng cost . 

  Thats me . Money , leisure , exercise , women , house , family all have , now new challenge , sell my house and buy a new flat and fully paid them . 

  Everyday stay at home do nothing siao ? 

  Everyday drive taxi alone , sian lah , plus do something else , life more energy .

  for some , sleep., wake up.search for.advance booking , 9pm.start work , until 6am , go home sleep . . . . . wake up search for.advance.booking , 9pm start work . . . routine . 

  Drive taxi cannot like that lifstyle . . . thats why i.encourage my kakis got.chance learnt new things like doing survey things , experience it and learnt , its good . 

  Got paid and have fun .

  finding new lobangs , explore that lobangs , from internet , make more friends , see what they can do ? Keeo that as contacts , one fine day , who knows we need each other ?

  Then when one day both make it , both can thanks taxi driving for what they getting now . 

  Taxi driving is one job u can get to meet many sort people , and thats a challenge .

  a taxi driver , turned into limo driver . . . know a few rich husiness people . 

  Then engaged him to do regular business . . . . drive something else now . . . .and got pay doing nothing sometimes . hahahahaha . 

  All thanks to taxi driving , something to beigin with , plus his capability , i odd to say he is successful , clever .
