will drop below 20k
why small car (1600CC & BELOW) remains at 74,689???
bec transcab, CDG and SMRT committed to too many new taxis, if it fall to fast, Prime and premier will buy many taxis and rent it out at low low low rental, maybe $55 - $70 a day.

two months back, just seen SMRT staffs approach Jesmine in the office, overheard they are discussing about passing some over booked new taxis to transcab.
Cat A only drop 4000.. so many bidders... all tot will drop very low... CAT B drop quite a lot...

because those car dealers want to confirm get COE mah and they tot price will drop lower, so they just bid higher to get.. then everyone same mindset.... so end up the price remain high... those traders trading/selling CAT E lose big money liao...
Why worry COE for the taxi companies?.........
I remember there's once COE drop until $50...........
cum cum, that period CDG came out the first 100 big/small eyes Mercedes cab..........
cum cum hor, I never speculate anything hor.........
this guy "lau lee" who post this thread. From his avatar i thought i saw similiar face in "Minds" school or some where in Buangkok Green. May be not him lah...

Have.... I got 120k cash to buy a Alphard.....
but... COE cat B must come down to $1 first.....
Originally posted by Ken@kofishop:strange…when coe open category drop so much lower than cat a…why didnt car buyers/dealers bid open cat and use for cat a cars? wats the restrictions?
Actually nobody expects Cat B & Cat D (Open) to underperformed.
=======================the 1st in 23 yrs=====================
It will be on FRONT page of Newspaper tomorrow....
It is just like the $50 COE premiums for Cat B many years ago.
As ARF (higher OMV) for branded vehicles mainly falls under Cat B.... many bookings was deemed cancelled after the annoucement of the new MAS restrictions. Hence, this really impact on this category COE premiums.
Whereas lower OMVs' vehicles usually have lower car capacity, hence could have been supported by COE bids.
Originally posted by Ken@kofishop:I tot the bidding system had since been changed to live bidding so bidders can see the trend n make immediate adjustments/switch..tat was to avoid the $50 fluke result repeating.
Its mainly car dealers bidding for their clients/buyers so they shud be experts n on the lookout for this happening to teact quickly enough?
(Previously) Car agents bid for clients at a higher (COE) premiums becos they want to do a sale.
2ndly, they can obtain higher commissions from the bank, the loans they secured for the clients.
now....
Car dealers "Bo Seng Ee".... how to bid excessively for clients ?
Hence don't rely on car dealers too much...
Their package deal (especially for those guaranteed COE).... normally, include excessively bidding, hence pushes COE premium higher.
Some car companies will bid additional COEs, which they can keep for a 6 months period (probably in the Open Category) to standby for future sale.
but with these New Ruling.....
Everybody is on the watch...
members , don't go so far lah ..... very headache one .
COE is something beyond what taxi drivers can do .
LTA , PAP , Comfort and SMRT , plus some pull strings .... TransCab , Premier and Prime all together play games wayang one .
U think they fire missiles at each other ?
No lah fuck ......
Even COE drops....
the taxi companies still have to absorb in the ARF cost....
hence, if you are hoping for a big drop in daily rental..... keep dreaming....
whatever difference made in the COE premium is the profit for the taxi company.
so, u can continue to dream on it....
=============================================================
What goes up.... (rental) will never come down....
COE down.... rental remains constant.
COE up.... rental adjust upwards.
