[News] LTA to install CCTVs at 30 locations

All of them will be installed by 2014. The 30 locations are roads which have a high incidence of illegal parking, which made it difficult for public buses to operate. They include Upper Bukit Timah Road (The Linear), Ardmore Park, Draycott Park, Commonwealth Avenue West, Serangoon Central and Bishan Road (Bishan MRT).
The LTA decided to expand the use of CCTVs, after it tried out the device along Beach Road (in front of Golden Mile Complex) and at Marine Parade Central (in front of Parkway Parade Shopping Centre).
The LTA found that they were useful in nabbing people who parked illegally and helped improve traffic conditions over time.Locations selected for installation of CCTVs Phase 1 (installation works in second quarter of 2013)

Jurong Gateway Road (around Jurong East Central, Integrated Transport Hub)
Jurong West Street 63 (bet Jurong West St 61 & Pioneer Rd North, front of Pioneer MRT Station
Phase 2 (fourth quarter 2013)
Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 (AMK MRT Station)
Boon Lay Way (Lakeside MRT Station)
New Upper Changi Road (Bedok MRT Station, Bedok Centre)
Pasir Panjang Road (AVA Centre to shophouses before MAS Currency House)
Woodlands Road (Kranji MRT Station, both directions)
Collyer Quay (both directions)
Chua Chu Kang Avenue 4 (Lot 1, CCK MRT/LRT stations)
Chua Chu Kang Loop (outside CCK Bus Interchange)
Jalan Sultan (Textile Centre)
Tampines Central 1 (near bus interchange, Tampines MRT Station)
Phase 3 (installation works in first quarter of 2014)

River Valley Road (in front of Spize, Boon Tong Kee)
Tanjong Katong Road (near Parkstone Road)
Woodlands Ave 7 (Admiralty MRT)

quite a bit of the camera aim at PA buses. thats why ardmore and draycott kena cos the buses park there wait for pax finish at dfs.
stop to alight can but no park sure kena

When u think all street surveilliance cameras are active , when u expect them to help u , they can just give u surprise ...... angle cannot captured whole thing .
It happened to my former LV chief 07 .
He was on the way to Pasir Ris , via ECP .
After Bayshore , before the bend , one car banged him from behind , his Estima spinned a few rounds and inside 1 passenger sitting behind just flung out of the window , fracturing his neck bone , and some internal injuries .
He was not injured seriously , but that poor boy had been in ICU a few weeks , luckily he survived .

So he appeal to TP to ask for the video along that area , those videos captured by the surveilliance camera .

TP replied they are unable to find any evidence , camera were unable to capture anything from that angle .
Talk cock lah .
Most are just dummy cameras .

The "FTs" LTA enforcement motorcyclist can summon the drivers + 3 demerit points.
SingaPOREANs dun want to work night shift.... all the FTs will volunteer.

Got 1 PH driver, sleep in vehicle near Orchard Towers with the engine running.... at ard 3am (no lot, so parked along double yellow lines).
Wake up at 3.35am as staffs from 1 of the lounge closed for the day. Saw the summon with demerit points....
knn... these enforcement people.... still summoned drivers regardless there r ppl in the car.

Now with so many outsourced companies with FTs available... they will hawk the offencers like "chicks".
