Taxi passengers, stop making multiple bookings
I AM a full-time taxi driver working for CityCab.
On Sunday, I received an advance call booking, where I was supposed to ferry a woman to Changi Airport.
I arrived at her residence eight minutes early but there were already two SMRT taxis waiting at her gate.
Sensing that something was amiss, I checked with the two drivers, and both told me that they were waiting for the same person.
It became apparent to us that she had made multiple bookings with both taxi companies.
I then sent her a text message to inform her of my arrival but received no reply.
Moments later, she came out of her house, boarded the nearest cab and left.
Just as I was about to drive off, a Comfort taxi arrived and stopped outside the same residence.
I checked with the driver and it turned out that he was also there to pick up the same person.
The three of us had made a wasted trip.
This is far from being an isolated incident - it is not the first time for me, and many fellow taxi drivers I have spoken to have told me that this is a frequent occurrence.
The current call booking systems of the various taxi operators allow passengers to make multiple bookings for the same job. There are no checks in place to bar them from doing so.
This leads to inefficiency; the system becomes clogged with "empty" bookings.
As a result, there is a decrease in the number of taxis available to pick up roadside fares.
This loophole allows inconsiderate cab users to continue abusing the call booking system at the expense of taxi drivers.
Every wasted trip is income lost.
I hope passengers can be more considerate and spare a thought for us taxi drivers.

Loop holes in those booking system , they dun listen .
He citycab, another comfort taxi arrived? comfort citycab 6552 1111 booking system cock up?
I explained before , commuters using Android devices , can type different phone numbers to call for cabs , one shot can call 3 taxis . I no need to put my own telephone number to prank Comfort taxi drivers .
If i free , i key in 5 numbers ( those NO SHOW customer's number ) , i can prank CDG's 15 taxis in one shot .
It applied to CDG , SMRT and TransCab apps .
Hammerhammer emailed to CDG before , told them liao , they just dun listen .
Now song bo ?
What possibly happened was this ang mor char bo overnight booked an Advance booking to Airport , confirmed taxi .
Before she willing to fork out $8 , she tried SMRT taxis in the morning , $3.30 booking , one last shot .
If dun have , pay $8 lor , if have , too bad .
Here u go , she immediately got a SMRT cab , save $4.70 .
Why not ?
I am not the only guy who know those loop holes .....
Many who play Android will know how to do it , because it is so easy .
pls edit all these loopholes out for obvious reason..............
that day got 40 cabs kenna at MBFC b 20 cabs at Tiong Bahru............

this loopholes also found for current booking.i took one,reach there pax took another cab and fcuk off.when call him he say didn't receive any reply and say system faulty bloody liar!

blame s2p cdg call system...
if pax make multiple call for cdg and tc..

this morning same thing happen to me.reach there press arrive and call,he responds but still can cancel!wtf!call call ctr,they say blacklist him!he!he!

We cannot go on edit here edit there , cover here cover there pretending nothing had happened .
It's CDG's default system that allows Android user to exploit , they must do something , or else end day ........ who cham ?
It's taxi drivers leh .....
Why i say CDG have to do something .... cos they have the biggest fleet .
Now this is the scenario .....
Just an example ....
Pax used 9xx9-8999 to dial for Comfort , later some other non on call taxi arrived , he hop in , run , off phone .
No Show , Comfort driver buay song ...... use his Samsung Note , activate his SMRT app , revenge 3 SMRT taxis using 9xx9-8999 , 3 SMRT taxis kena no show .
These 3 SMRT taxis , accdiently 2 use Samsung S3 , buay song , activate Transcab app , dial 3 taxis using 9xx9-8999 , total 3 taxis .....
The revenge thing can go on and on and on .......
Transcab drivers , 3 drivers buay song , activate 9 CDG taxis , using CDG app .....
Like a virus , go on and on , bigger and bigger .
CDG will not do anything ..... cos their diesel boom town with such internal warfare going on .
Will the pranster tio gan ?
No lah , 9xx9-8999 tio gan , midnight kena wake up go urine only ......
Taxi companies also cannot pretend developing such app and hopefully people can accept and using it gracefully .

TAXI company must do something about this, I wonder if any Comapny will reply to the forum letter
When time to tekan pax , there'll be no grace ......
And for some , tekan paxes at the expense of fellow taxi uncles ......
Who's fault ?
The people who developed such booking app , no brainer , drove a car and sit inside office type .

Every single CDG , SMRT , TransCab , comfort or citycab cabbies must make an effort to email or feedback them about such flaws .
Whack them with emails when they open up their email boxes .
Just tell them : " Pls try the booking app using the Android devices , book a cab and come back and tell me how u feel ?"
I know ..... eventually Premier will have the Singapore best book-a-cab system soon , including booking app , which they will use other company's developed app as platform for their app .
