missing money: taxi uncles help me out please!

  I took an SMRT saanyong MPV cab today (19 june) at around 11.40pm from tanjong katong road to macpherson and my fare came up to $10.35. I passed the driver $50.50 and walked out of the cab totally forgetting to get the change (maybe because i was tired, maybe the haze made me unwell i dunno) but when i realized and turned around the can was gone. the driver hadn't told me about my change nor waited 1 or 2 minutes to pass it to me. Can any kind taxi uncles please help me out (if u think u know the driver) or ask around? or if you're the driver reading please please pass my money back to me? i'm just a student and $40 is a significant amount for me. I really appreciate your help thank you!!

  i know :( i already wrote in to SMRT. hopefully some kind hearted cabbies will be able to help me in the meantime or if it doesnt work.

  unfortunately no cab number, hopefully smrt gives me a refund

  Don be stupid. You will not get ur money back. And if money was so impt you shouldn't have taken a cab. When I was a student I never take cab no matter how tired I am or how much things I carried.

  This TD probably mistaken $50 as $10.

  You walked out of the car immediately, anyone will assume "Keep the change"

  how about i got cheated by a female pax,the fare was $28.40.she counted 3 10 dollar notes in front of me,but i didn't switch on car interior light,so i thought it was $30!so i even gave her back change of $1.60 and even thanked her and wish her good night!she also thank me and in her mind she could be saying what a stupid old botak uncle!she actually gave me $22!after i switch on the lights to check!

  Aiyoh, what to do. Do some P/T, liao. McDonald very easy to get, what. Do 2 days P/T and you even have "change" after $40.

  call LTA or the taxi company and ask them to track the taxi tell them the date time pick up place and destination

  Ouch, sorry to hear this, but i doubt you will get your money back, not even one in a million i suppose? 

  Still, lesson learn.. to be more extra cautious to each of everyone.
