Wanna thank this forum for all the sharing of experiences and helpful info and the hirers who let me drive relief based on my unusual timings.
Observation:-
Cab drivers are like tailors in the fabric of society. They help to safely stitch one part of people's lives to another part seamlessly such that they can carry on with their lives. All these happen without any pomp and pageantry as it's just pegged as "public transport".
In my six months of driving, I've experienced the entire gamut of emotions from the people who board my cab,
> rowdy twenty-somethings who scream at each other about affairs of the heart after a night out drinking even though they were all sitting at the back seat
> proud parents who shared with me the finer points of bringing up our kids
> frustrated tourist who shouted "You are not Singaporean ah! Don't know where is St Regis Hotel !?!" (he still thanked me when I said "have a nice day" after we reached)
> a quiet petite old lady who just follows her filipino helper who met up with her pals for a chit chat session. This lady looked at me while alighting and I couldn't help but notice the helplessness in her eyes
I've stopped driving for now as the exams are drawing near.
Thanks...........
