in 2016 GE, there will be only 2 SMCs left.
One is at Hougang and one is at Punngol East.
PAP will be scared to lose more seats
BUT hor, in 2016 GE,
PAP is likely to lose more SMCs if there are still more than 2 SMCs available,
PAP is also likely to lose 3 or more GRCs too as now WP has sufficient talents
and resources to win 3 to 5 GRCs in the 2016 GE.
SDP should be able to win 1 GRC if it is willing to work hard and go to their
targetted GRCs on a weekly basis or even better on a daily basis to listen to the
residents and help the residents. So far, SDP is seen to be more interested to sell
their party papers in these areas only.

WP's Lee wins Punggol East by-election
SINGAPORE: Ms Lee Li Lian of the Workers' Party has won the Punggol East by-election.
Returning Officer Yam Ah Mee announced the results at about 11pm on Saturday.
Ms Lee won 16,038 or 54.52 per cent of the valid votes, while Dr Koh Poh Koon of the People's Action Party received 12,856 or 43.71 per cent of the votes.
Reform Party's Kenneth Jeyaretnam took 353 or 1.20 per cent of the votes and Singapore Democratic Alliance's Desmond Lim had 168 or 0.57 of the votes.
Total number of votes cast was 29,832, with 417 rejected votes.
This was 94.26 per cent of the 31,649 registered electors in the Single Member Constituency.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong congratulated Ms Lee and the Workers' Party for winning the by-election.
"I respect the choice of Punggol East voters," he said in a statement.
Mr Lee said the PAP will continue to work to improve the lives of Singaporeans, and present its report card for voters to judge in the next general election.
He added that he intends to field Dr Koh again in a future election, so that he can be part of the PAP's team to serve Singapore.
RP's Jeyaretnam also congratulated the Workers' Party, saying that the by-election was mainly fought on local issues.
He said that irrespective of the results, the party "has taken the first step in mending the broken promise of all, which is the promise to build a democratic society."

The by-election result has shown that the voters are smarter now.
They have rejected SDA and RP for causing the 4-cornered fight by giving them
the small number of votes.
The voters have also rejected PAP despite the many favourable policies
announced during the election period.
The voters have also not accepted the explanation given for the AIM case by
rejecting PAP in this by-election.

population is the major issue.its the people tthat is causing somany problem!
my side SMC no WP but got NSP.
NSP is another party after WP able to fight. myside SMC votes is also almost nect to neck.
NSP should attack the west while WP the east.
SDP can do damage elsewhere where NSP and WP is not present.
we have to take PAP by piecemeat. we have to make a diffence!
then that guy will have to go. the party old hand lousy law decision makers should just retire!
