For your information, I already went to checked out the 2 things we mentioned the other night:
- Nia-a-put : This is a variant pronunciation of Na-a-put or Na-a-puat. The written form given by publications is 籃仔佛 or 籃仔拔.
- Rock Sugar : The publication form for all 3 variants (ChiangChew variant / Amoy Standard variant / ChuanChew variant) is indeed 糖霜 "Th'hng Sng" even though you disagreed that only ChiangChew variant is.

unfortunately hokkien is not easily tranversed for mandarin which is a much simpler and less detailed language.
