Hi people.
How to say window in hokkien? Tung ah mng or Tung mng?
It was explained by Clivebenss before. He can search the post for you.
For me, I onli say th'ang a mng for "window" in Hokkien. th'ang mng is exactly the same form without the a , and also accepted by people from non-Amoy areas.

Every dialect will have their day.
Old man will not approve.
Old man is already 50% Hokkien. (His mother is Hokkien)
His children are 75% Hokkien. (Old man wife again is Hokkien)
Hahaha.

on the 9th Day of Lunar New Year. The day that the nortrhern tried to killed all the Hokkien people but many survived by hiding in between the sugar cane plants. That's why we are called the Hokkien, fortunate to rebuild.
YA YA I am very grateful for this kind reminder. I have forgotten about this already. I was kept told about this again and again when I am young. Thank you, suddenly memory come back again,

Isn't this the same day the taoists pray to the emperor in heaven?

Old man's Hakka root is already 50% diluted. Furthermore his daughter and sons is even further diluted to only 25% Hakka root left, because he married a Hokkien.
Therefore in the strict Anthropological sense, his family is more Hokkien than hakka.
