I admit that Singaporean like myself luckily has the environment of multi-dialects. If not for Teochew having this term too, this term would have been lost forever in my Hokkien dialect. That's why, for me, I am pro-all-dialects rather than pro-Hokkien onli because some other dialects may retain certain archaic features that another dialect has lost. I always remember the saying: 唇亡齒寒。

Multi Pore
huh? what's that?
Since singapore has so many foreigners, with the predicted outcome it will be dominated by foreigners (Bangla, Indian, China, etc), the end result is we will end up calling ourselves Multi Pore to signify integration
ah hah!
how was your day off?
