  That sounds good.  Not many people will do that on new year's eve.

  I don't have any other things to look forward to in the coming year.    The only thing I want to see is a change of luck.

  I share a recent language experience.

  • Hokkien " la lun sio".   Seems like nowadays almost nobody uses this phrase, which I am shock to the extent that coffeeshop people also don't know.   There were instances when i wanted kopi " la lun sio ",  the lady boss who makes kopi replied curtly " si mi si la lun sio ! ",  and I gotta explain,  and she said " pűã sio lah ! si mi la lun sio ! ".   How come even she as a Hokkien (i know that),  does not know " la lun sio " ?

  gd morning.

  This "la lun sio" is hardly use in Sg but common in older Indon Hokkiens. In Sg "pua sio leng" is more often used.

  "la lun sio" actually means not too hot.
