  As for this expensive or not topic, I have to agree that Singapore is still ok....I mean if you buy a house in other countries (its cheap in ulu areas) but you probably have to travel afew hours to-fro to get groceries or a nice restaurant...Singapore is housing expensive but amenities top notch...almost everywhere is near food/shopping area...or a short bus/mrt trip to places of interests... not to mention that its more secured and less crime rates...I don't know those ulu areas have internet access or not ? I think people that choose to leave Singapore behind and immigrate to other countries must don't like SG alot...most reasons are due to housing/cars prices.....food prices in SG still quite ok. In short SG is a nice place if you can get a decent job....if you have lower income, sorry...it'll be a struggle to stay alive...everywhere else is the same for low income people...public transport is ok also.
