actually, the solution is simple:
create more towns (eg. Tampines North, Bidadari, Tengah), create more education opportunities, create more employment opportunities, and increase the capacity of transport. spread out the load, instead of make the place more crowded.
but of course, to do it, is hard.

Bidadari has only Woodleigh to the west. it will cause congestion on the NEL.
Tampines North has nothing. falling back to buses??
Tengah had a "Light to Medium" capacity MRT in the works.
i don't think 6.9m is so
Crowded is good, at least you don't feel lonely![]()
Since you like being squeezed, you could go India and squeeze with them...enjoy being squeezed anytime, anywhere wherever you are.
Ivan can go little india on Sundays and squeeze with them.
I do feel that Singapore is increasingly crowded; especially when I take the train, I feel like suffocating.
its damn crowded lah!!
the buses.. omg, i cannt remember the last time i sat on a bus
Yes, crowded. Every hour is peak hour, while peak hour is now overcrowded. Only neighbourhoods and places without aircon got space.
Crowded is one thing. I hate it when i had to squeeze into the train and realised more than half of those in the cabin are foreigners! Now I'm not anti-foreigners, just that it's too many of them!! #foreignerinowncountry
Public transport aside, even the places I used to go to escape from the crowds are getting crowded, can't even find peace in the parks and beaches.
Sucks to be short in crowded area,
.

To pinkyshit, crowded means more money money. Money first, others not important.

all asian countries are crowded
I live in Punggol and it has been quiet for many years. I enjoyed the quietness and relatively smaller crowds.
Nowadays in the morning, Punggol is like mad exodus. Everyone trying to get out of punggol to their areas of work. TPE jam all the way until near Expo. If you leave home later than 730am to take KPE at Buangkok entrance, u can sit there and waste petrol in the jam for at least 30 minutes.
After 9am, the whole place is quiet. Only left children who are in school and some older folks who aren't working. 5pm onwards there is a mad influx of people going back home again.
It can only get worse. I look out of my window, they are building a good 40-50 more blocks along the waterway. When the people move in, the traffic will be worse and everyone will suffer even more.
Gov ask people take public transport, Punggol Drive only has ONE bus service. The LRT only use one train car. Peak hour really worse than sardine.
I am pretty sure other more mature estates everyday get worse madness than me.
Yes definitely. Avoid leaving house on weekends.

Till now 70% still no change, die-hard supporters for bad policies detrimental to life of citizens. Their IBs actively at work harassing, slamming 30%.

Really? Have you been to all asian countries to come to this conclusion ?
Singapore is deliberately made crowded for the name of $$$$, power and self-serving selfish agenda.
Everytime always dread taking the mrt during peak hours
