To confess, I'm not a good cook though I've a few niches: Best-known cooking achievement is almond jelly (self-mixed recipe in secret proportions, not the ready-mix kind which tastes weird). Also good at making pizzas: cut them into heart-shapes, throw in my loved ones' favourite ingredients (seafood/hawaiian/etc) and bake to perfection. Then comes dim sum 'siew mai': homemade ones are not too oily and are so yummy that my family can easily finish a hundred of them. (Recipe passed down from grandma.) Can create own mix of chicken sausages too to go with bread for a hearty breakfast.
One of my favourite dating activities is to whip up a good meal with my boyfren. Shopping together for ingredients using a given budget then working together in the kitchen helps strengthen mutual understanding too.

Therefore in the end i gave up the whole idea about cooking for him, since he did not show any signs of enthusiasm..

Honestly, i like to cook and see my family n frds enjoying my dishes. Many of my frds like to cook too. Now, WHO dare say gals dun cook? -

it's been 1 year already, and the cookies still look very fresh. although i'm very sure i'll die if i eat it. could it be a section of the wooden spoon....she stirred too hard & broke it?
but err...i can cook some simple dishes....though it may not taste heavenly. like sweet sour fish, tofu soup, veg soup, konyaku jelly, fried rice etc...my family is still around after eating my food. -

Besides, you really don't want a lousy cook to stand anywhere near u when u're cooking. -
