It's located under the bridge, the footpath to the new merlion. I must say that the food here is Xcellent my friends. The place is run by mostly malays but there is a open bar there run by chinese if you wanna drink beer.
The ambience is open air since it's under the bridge with many tables. A bit stuffy if you are going afternoons but it's pretty cool in the evenings.
The satay is a bit ex abt 50cts per stick but it's good.
Other side dishes to try
Fried Chicken # Not bad.
Calammari # It doesn't appear as callamari on the menu, what they do is they slice up a few sotong dip in batter and deep fry. The sotong is fresh and this is the best calammari I ever tasted.
BBQ IKAN BAKAR(Sting Ray): Malay style in banana leaf with chopped shallots, I never tasted anything like it.
They also have other fish like promfet, groupa and ikan merah(ang kueh aka red snapper)
The bill for 2 huge guys with lots of dishes and abt 30 sticks of satay came to abt slightly more than 50bucks including the sting ray, fried chicken and calammari.
Not recommended for romantics as it can get quite noisey but Nice place for get together and cheap & good to entertain overseas guest.
enjoy
