Dim Sum Buffet...

Hi there, want treat my family to eat dim sum. I think a buffet would be a better deal and value for money isn't it? So is there any outlets for dim sum buffet and what would the prices be?
I came across an old topic saying about the Hougang Mall dim sum buffet. Do they still have it now?
P.s Any SG links/forum in English for Taiwan food and Taiwan travel?

Somehow I think the quality of tim sum at yum cha is rather lousy. Weekdays can eat the tim sum buffet at harbour front from 12 to 2:30 if I'm not wrong. Its quite cheap at around 12 dollars ++.

i've personally tried tea house at china sq & dragon pearl at taka
tea house is going for $15++ if i dun remember wrongly, on a wkdae
i mus say that the quality of the dim sum is not dat gd + its self service 1 & dat time 4 person squeeze at a small table = very fast the empty containers stack until very high, the waitress beri slow to clear
i still remember the siew mai, not nice & yet so big... terrible~ i like siew mai & ha kao~ but these at tea house is terrible
dragon pearl is much better, fresh dim sum with great service i'm veri impressed with the value~ $16.80++ on wkdae = $22 per person
i strongly reccommend this restaurant
i heard dragon gate at harbor frt is gd oso~ will try it some day -
Orient Ocean Restaurant @Miramar has pretty good dim sum, i dunno whether still got buffet deal but i went weekend paid ard 20 a person, you might want to call em and check it out. I like the Ha Gao(prawn thingie) mmmm mm

I think its pretty good cos it better be alot of their guests are from CHINA -
I see some of you state the rate of the Dim Sum at weekdays....but at night, what's the rate? Same??

hey, anyone knows how is the Dim Sum buffet over at Harbourfront? (Can't remember the restaurant's name)
Heard it's only 9 bucks (weekday student rate), and slightly more for non-students and weekends.
Actually if u're not looking for buffet, personally i think Crystal Jade's Dim Sum is hard to beat.. -

I think if you want to go for crystal jade, Crystal jade palace at taka may be a better choice
Can also try Min jiang at goodwood Park hotel. I've been there for ala carte dim sum but nt for the buffet.
But they have:
Hightea buffet for sat, sun and public hols from 3 - 5.30pm
$18.80+++ for adults
Breakfast buffet $15.80+++
sun and public hols 8-10.30am
The dim sum are nice (highly recommended ) and the service is quite fast. -
There's a new restaurant doing dim sum buffet.. went there last week..
quite cheap for ala carte.. 18 bucks... plus the Or Ni (not in buffet) was soooooooooo good.... its at SAFRA Mt Faber, called Pioneer Springs.. 2 thumbs up.. -
got 1 at exceilsor hotel. i believe its on the 3rd or 4th floor called river city. oni $12.50 for lunch on sat. dunno abt dinner or the rest of the timings. u may need to call to book though. its usually packed.

personally i like the dim sum at lei garden @ chimjes.
muz try their egg tart! one of the best i ever tasted.
but their price is abit steep and its ala cart... somethimes we must pamper ourselves with good food also.
