It's branch of Japan chain. Yes, that's an authentic Japanese Curry Rice.....Originally posted by Sunnygirl:I posted in another thread about the best japanese curry rice that I know of is in
Liang Court (ex-Daimaru). In the basement, Meidi-ya supermarket, there is this
stall called Romantic Kobe and serves tonkatsu, curry rice, ebi, teriyaki chicken
etc, etc.
Bar style dining and so the prices are between $7 to $9. Many Japanese
customers and so must have some standard.
Someone, please try and let me know how ?

No, Romantic Kobe has only 1 outlet in Singapore and it is the one is Meidi-ya supermarket in the basement 1 level of Liang CourtOriginally posted by Erinu:The place referred to above I think got branch @ Taka basement, behind the foodcourt. imo it's better if not at least more vfm than tonkichi, the restaurant at 3(?) floor which serves curry rice + tonkatsu etc.
Liang Court is next to Clarke Quay, on River Valley Road. Can't miss it....Originally posted by dcx:Where's it? How to go there?
I know it's Liang's Court....but how to go to Liang's Court????
Hmm...you're making me hungry...Originally posted by samuei:Don't really like the Liang Court japanese curry. I like Curry Favor's Japanese Curry, the Katsu is the best I have eaten and they also have stewed curry if you are not a fried stuffs lover.

Tried Curry favor's curry, I think they have localized the taste to suit Singaporean's taste.Originally posted by samuei:Don't really like the Liang Court japanese curry. Agree with you, I bring my kids the Romantic Kobe all the time and they have a great time and love the food.Originally posted by yc929496:Tried Curry favor's curry, I think they have localized the taste to suit Singaporean's taste.
Romantic Kob e serves Japanese curry imported from Japan as they are a franchise and are required to maintain the same standard everyday.
Another setback is that Curry favor is very expensive. Minimum price is $12.90 upwards. Went there with 3 others and spent close to $90 bucks...cannot afford for lunch on a regular basis.![]()
