Damn dun know the full spelling of the gelato sold at Tang's basement.
Seen Venezia storm onto the scene recently, also claiming to be italian gelato with outlets at taka and sixth ave.
Any good? -
the best gelato i had was in rome. forgot the name but there are lotsa shops selling gelato you gotta ask your tour guide which one is the best one.

Anyhow, i did try the one near fountaine de trevi, it was really nice (most prob a fruity sherbet-style) but the stall owner was a racist, thinks us Chinese don't know how to follow their pay-first-get-receipt-then choose ice-cream method of selling...

im not sure if we went to the same one the one i went to had like a few tables outside in a mini-alfresco manner -
Yeah like grazie? bah...italians look at skin colour. Among Europeans they are some of the worst bigots i encountered. There are ice-cream outlets all over the place. But the outlet i went to was closest to the Trevi Fountain. Can't miss it. Place is a tourist magnet. And yes there were sit-in tables outside the joint. -
i think they look more at what language you speak and how you dress. if you speak chinese and dress poorly they'll probably think you're some tourist from china and show you some attitude so far i've had no reception problems with the europeans during my trips there.

The only people i had a bone with were italians. I've visited 4 of the major european countries and i have no issue with them.
They never smile, aren't helpful, service at restaurants suck and they, like an ultra-conservative nation, prefer ITALIAN and no other language.
Hell, i even tried french at the train stations to see if they responded coz neither my friend nor i could speak proper italian. And they simply folded their arms and buttoned up.
Typical snobs. Even the French were far better. -
