  which places serves good tepanyaki? i heard about this certain jurong hill one but where's it? and jurong's a bit too far also..any around town? orchard or city hall or cbd also can. thanks! im having a craving for it.

  i used to go to the one at great world city 5 years ago.. but ever since the second time we went there.. i convinced my family that it would be a much cheaper alternative if we bought a teppanyaki set.. and have it done ourselves at home =D.. and yes it was a good choice!!

  the one at Shima(@Goodwood park hotel) is good value for money, and good. But is value only for lunch time as dinner is very $$$.
  
  it is tenpanyaki buffet & comes with salmon sashimi and tempura free flow.
  last time i went was $38 ...

  Teppanyakki can be found at the following locations:
  
  Town
  
  1. Parkmall (Khubelai Khan Mongolian Buffet)
  2. Takashimaya SC (Ghengis Khan-turned-PARISS buffet)
  3. SHIMA at goodwood park is VERY EXPENSIVE but the best teppanyakki i have ever experienced.
  4. Bugis Junction Food court (never tried and not sure of the standard)
  
  West side:
  
  1. Jurong Hill (it's at the bird park. Follow the road upwards towards the top of the hill, there's only one way up and one way down)

  1. Junction 8 Food court

  Unkai at ANA Hotel was even better IMO when it was still open.

  actually there another place at Raffles City, can't remember the name but it is better that Shima, but more $$$ as well. It is located at the back of the mall, belongs to the swissohotel. Again, its value for $$ if it is set lunch.
  
  I'd tried frequently the jurong hilltop one. It's too much garlic, a little overkill even for someone like me who likes lots of garlic. The decor need lots of work done as well ...
  
  I still think Shima is the best for value and quality.
