anybody noe where still got?
it has closed down island wide.
opened its first flag shop near club street after doing some road shows. apparently great response from road shows. long queues and many people were buying it. the few shops they had were crowded all the times. lots of publicity too. many people thought of starting similiar since the preparation and serving is simple and cheap ingredients. survived for about three years. the very last stall was in CK Tangs basement.
nice concept but expensive and not filling. unlike in chinese restaurants where they served pork belly in similiar buns, the atmosphere and feeling when consuming it just felt worth it to pay more. even coffee shops sell it slightly cheaper but it just feels good eating from the plastic bag.
several times, i find their meat too tough. it could probably due to constant cooking over the hot plate that caused the meat to lose its moisture and tenderness. the plastic containers they used to pack, is not suitable. the sauce tends to leak all over the plastci bag by the time you reach home. its too small too even though it fits just right. should have allow room for vapour.
another company tried to jump on the bandwagon and sold something similiar, named 'Bao-er' was located in Scotts Pinic Food Court and some other places. it didnt do that good and closed down after a year.
haizzz.... too bad.... thx 4 the info....
