It's that time of the year again when mooncakes appear in practically every Chinese restaurant in town.
To stand out from the crowd, Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant at Carlton Hotel has come up with a rather unusual promotion this year.
Buy any of its green tea mooncakes or walnut pastries, and you get a complimentary back massage and a choice of a green tea or walnut back scrub at Elements Spa.
The spa at Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade is opened by swimmer Leslie Kwok. Presumably, the scrub will be done with spa products and not the mooncake fillings.
The green tea mooncakes sell for $28 for a box of eight while the walnut pastries go for $24. The latter is delicious, even if a trifle sweet.

mornin fire ice!!!!!!!!.. try lavender mooncakes!!!!!!!!.. or the ones with white box one =D.. snowskin types. they are from malaysia buy one though.. sux lah.. here no mooncakes.. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I like to eat lao po bing.. maybe coz influenced by mum..esp those with dan gui inside. (If I'm not wrong, it's dan gui right?)
My godbrother loves it.. there was once they went Malaysia to buy for us. About the size of ur mooncake lor. And it's very sweet. -
Personally, I like Marriott moon cakes. So yummy and not too sweet. I think M1 subs will enjoy 10-20% discount I am still waiting for M1 to send me the broche
