Just curious why Marche is so popular.
I have been there about 3x myself and gave up going since due to the following reasons:
(1) Food
Nothing fantastic, overly priced. Whatever they have there can be found outside at better prices and with better quality. The food used to be cheaper, over the years, I found the prices were adjusted upwards discreetly.
(2) Queuing
This is something I don't quite understand. Singaporean's love queuing is it? In Marche, literally have to queue 3 times just for a meal - Queue outside, Queue for food, Queue for payment. And we still go?
(3) Ambience
Not much ambience to speak of, usually noisy like a marketplace, unless you mean you love going to the market?

I go there just for the grilled stingray and their potato.

i thk variety bah. the food isnt that fantastic but not that bad afterall. can share a lot of food with some no. of friends and w/o the hassle of who paying first when u pay ya own 'ticket'.
i thk the mushroom soup and calamari is nice. never fail not to order this 2 whenever i visit thr. -
me oni go for the sausages, rosti, calamari and root beer
sometimes eat the crepe... -
pork knuckles and erdinger beer during oktober fest !!! ......
