Xmas dinner

  Im planning a Xmas dinner for my gf.. 2 choices on my mind
  
  1) Go to a restaurant: but i dunno which is good.. Any suggestion? I had browse through a lot of restaurants in some hotels, but none attract me..
  
  2) Book a hotel room then buy the food and deco the whole place. Can surprise her too... but this may cause a bomb...
  
  Anybody can give me comments? Which one u all prefer?
