IT seems that this buffet received `wow' reviews from various magazines.
Did anyone go there before? How's the food?
My company is planning to go there for our year end dinner.
We were told the prices are SGD78+++.
This month special is some indonesian cuisine. -

I saw the reviews too its 68+++ not 78 but the food looks good ... hope its good .. just went golden le pariss .. the food not that nice

my friend told me the price is still $65+++ eventually is around $75 nett

it's kinda pricey for a buffet eh ? but i heard the selection is gorgeous with lotsa stations for different cuisines. i think ard 16 stations if i'm not wrong... plus the ever famous chocolate fountain that u can dip strawberries etc into it.. no money to go lea. if not sure go try de...

Ya, shangri-la buffet was the best i've ever tried over all these years... got unlimited supply of lobsters, crayfish, crabs, giant prawns etc that they will bbq in front of you when you order. And all these is in addition to the huge selection of the normal buffet stuff like jap food, european food, oysters etc.
But that was in '03, dunno if they changed the menu or not... -

According to my friends who used to host their clients at The Line, standard has dropped since '99 till now. their staff canteen food is enough for me to drool juz by tinking about it.

like it alot personally, price is pretty comparable to those that can cater to the range of food they offered

Hi Billy Bong,just for your info The Line is a new concept and name for the Shang's Buffet spread. I think your friend must have been referring to the previous coffee house buffet(which currently is where The Line is) they had,way back when..,as you have mentioned.....in '99.
